  1. I plan to go. Haven't been in the snow this winter yet, except for the hale that we saw in Scotts Valley a few days back.
  2. I am excited about the trip. Will fill out the poll in a few weeks, when my summer schedule is better defined. Hope to come with the family this time.
  3. I'm sad to say that I might not be coming. I caught a bad cold or flu. Unless I feel significantly better tomorrow, I'll have to stay home. In anticipation of this happening, I sent Robert my reservation info, so the space will be available even if I don't make it.
  4. I plan to come early Saturday and will be, most likely, alone. Family has other plans.
  5. I am interested in DV as well. My available dates (so far) in March are: March 4 March 11 March 25
  6. There is space in 217 for two if not three more trucks as well.
  7. A very clean RRC spotted today while sitting in horrible traffic entering Santa Cruz from 17.
  8. Ok. Looking at late-ish April/early May, the following weekends should work for me and the family: Weekend of April 15 April 29 May 6 May 13 The weekend of April 22 will work for me, but the family might need to stay in SC, which would be a pity. We should be able to "enhance" the weekends by adding days around them.
  9. “Hot hands” packet inside the sock positioned at the ankle between the sock and the thermal: Slow heat that lasts all night.
  10. Long time ago I used a sleeping bag that consisted of a canvas "pocket" with sheepskin "sock" inserted in it. I slept in a canvas tent with no bottom. The bag was on a packed snow and a layer of pine branches (you want less branches and more needles). The temp was about -10F. I was warm. I actually thought about sewing myself something like that from a couple of sheepskins and a canvas tarp, but it just doesn't get that cold here 🙂
  11. I won’t be able to come as well unfortunately. Too many family and work related things piled up. It’s a pity. I was looking forward to the dunes and the company.
  12. Miles, my plans have changed slightly and I will start from Scotts Valley around 9am, so will not be able to join the convoy. If something falls off the trucks, let me know - I'll pick it up. I'll have GPS leading me to Usal Beach Campground.
  13. Will do Please include me in the text exchange (8312953879). This way I’ll know what’s going on. I’ll update you on my timing as well.
  14. I plan to go this Saturday (11/5) and be there around 11am. Will be happy to meet with anyone who is coming as well. Will (hopefully) be "Lost" on the 13th though 🙂
  15. Is the Spot #2 departure time correct? My guess is that Chris (CRYA) might want to meet us there. It'll take us more that 30min to get to Cloverdale 😉
  16. It was a fun day. Thank you all for the great company!
  17. You might be right. Can't move to earlier time now. Sean, I'll text you with an ETA when we start moving.
  18. Wonderful! I haven't been to the obstacle courses in Hollister. Will be fun to try them out.
  19. I suggest we aim for 10am meeting at the visitor's center (36.7704489, -121.4140608). I'm thinking 10am so that we have a chance at a slowish Saturday morning. I'll drive from Scotts Valley through Watsonville. If anyone from the area wants to team up (Erin? Yohann?), we can meet at the Scotts Valley coffee shop next to Hilton at 9am. My cell is 8312953879
  20. I talked to the office and they say that the park should be open as usual.
