  1. Spotted nor a rover, but a space sausage in Santa Cruz just now. Same triangular side view mirrors as can be seen in the post above. Hmm 🤔
  2. Yes, whoever gave me the permit 😉
  3. I made one mistake on the quiz, but they still gave me the permit! Thanks for the reminder!
  4. I’ll try to drive up early Sunday morning. Looking forward to it!!!
  5. It looks like there are no IS trucks left for Oct 23/24...
  6. All the campers are here. We’ll be at 90 Cisco Rd, Soda Springs, CA 95728 Saturday morning at 10am in case anyone else shows up. We’ll run the trail counterclockwise (the “easy” way).
  7. Eric got to the camp first and secured it. Cris and I are now here as well.
  8. We’re getting close to Davis. Should be at camp not far after 3pm.
  9. Cris and I are starting to drive from SJC about now. Will look for the overlander
  10. Ah, I just realized that Miles already posted coordinates and the map of the camping spot in the First Post of the thread. Thank you Miles! I just want to add that despite the google’s photo next to the map, the camping spot is in the woods right next to the road. The road to the spot is not difficult, but I definitely plan to use the off-road suspension height on my LR3. I plan to be there around 3pm and will have my radio on 146.460. My phone is 831.295.3879. I don’t remember if I had reception there.
  11. I plan to start from the Bay Area around 11am with the hope of getting the camping spot we used last year. I'll send the coordinates a bit later.
  12. October 23/24 are possible for me. I plan to come, barring whatever surprises life might through at me between now and then...
  13. I plan to come on Friday night and camp. I wonder if we can try the same place we used last year. It’s a few hundred meters up the Fordyce trail and any stock trucks should be able to get there. We had four rigs and there was space for a few more…
  14. Nice resource I didn’t know about. Thanks Oliver!
  15. If the dates work for me, I would like to come in D2 and use this as a practice opportunity for myself. Will be happy to help in any way I can on the trail as well of course.
  16. I won’t start driving until 5 or 6pm, so will be there pretty late.
  17. Daniel and I got home a couple of hours ago. What a beautiful trip!!! Huge thank you to the organizers: Greg, Eric,Don (sorry if I missed anyone) and to all tireless and patient spotters. It was great to catch up and meet new people. Great company is what makes these trips really special. Now it’s time to start making plans for what needs to be done (on the car) for a next trip. Synthetic which line, new diff guards, and the sliders are first on my list.
  18. If it's all the same, I would prefer to go with an earlier group. I function better in the morning
  19. When do you plan to leave? If the timing is right (I plan to leave Thursday afternoon), I’ll be happy to meet up where convenient!
  20. I plan to head out Thursday afternoon. Not later than 4 (hopefully), maybe earlier. Will probably get to camping site after dark. Will follow Lutz’s trail map. Do I need to do any registration at Loon trailhead, or just drive to camp?
  21. Sounds great! I’m sad that I won’t be able to come. Too many things to do. Will wait for the stories.
