Hey Everybody!

When: Nov. 11th and 13th

What: Nov. MORG Lost Coast

Where: Lost Coast

Things to know:

  • Easy enough for stock trucks
  • This is a MORG - all Rover owners and all vehicle models are welcome to join!
  • Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
  • I can't make it up till the evening so I will meet everyone there friday night and we can head out on the trail saturday morning
  • We will follow roughly same route as the 2017 trip
  • Temps will probably be in the 60s during the day and 50s at night. There is also a high potential to rain or at least wet fog.

Friday: Usal Beach area camp

Saturday: Usal Beach to Needle Rock in the Sinkyone Wilderness area

Sunday: stop over at Shelter Cove, then head home at your leisure.

I attached the gpx track as well if anyone wants them (they're not perfect).

Message if you have any questions or concerns

Lots of Love,

Mario

Henry, Theresa, and myself will be there!

In speaking with Mario, he may not be able to get up there early on Friday. So if anyone is wanting to leave early Friday morning I'm happy to lead a group into camp from the Bay.

I'll adjust meetup points accordingly based on folks attending.

What’s that green truck?! I don’t recognize it 🙃

It is somewhat of a unicorn. Hasn't been seen in years. Rumor has it that it wafts through the trees piloted by Sasquatch on moonless nights.

I’d love to tag into the Convoy in the Geyserville or Cloverdale areas, assuming you madmen aren’t taking 1 all the way…. Yeah it’s “1” here in NorCal.

We can probably make that work! Not sure what Mario has planned but I expect I might try and take 1 on the return trip. 101 on the way up.

I’m interested. Will be my first NCLR event. I have been lurking for a while but just joined. I am worried if my 130 can handle the drive up and back.

Side question, how do I change my display name?

If our naturally aspirated 110 made it up there I bet you can too!

[ average speed up the 101 through the mountains was very low! ]

I messaged you about the display name - let me know and I can take care of that for you.

It’s more the fact that it’s got low compression in one cylinder. On my list to adjust valves to see if that helps.

Wanted to do this for years, but November 11th is Veteran's Day.. As the town bagpiper, I am out. Plus, I will be recovering from the 2,000 mile AZLRO out and back trip to Sedona. Have fun!

I finally figured out my schedule and I plan to go with the whole family. We’ll aim to start (very) early on Friday.

Let’s stay in touch about the early Friday convoy that Miles mentioned.

Thanks for the reminder - been on a silly work schedule, but I'll try to sit down here in the next couple days and plan out a route - I think we have a good idea who is planning on attending this one. Apologies for the radio silence.

We are hoping to join but can only leave after collecting child #3 from school. Child #1 will be visiting from Australia and also plans to join.

Hope to see you there Robert! I will be leaving SF in the evening on friday (around 6pm when I'm off work) if you wanted to hook up somewhere along the way. I plan to take 101 up.

Is the Spot #2 departure time correct? My guess is that Chris (CRYA) might want to meet us there. It'll take us more that 30min to get to Cloverdale 😉
