  1. So Freaking Sad... I'm out... I have found that this EMHT week is working out to be during the intersection of work 1, family, home, and work 2 (yes, Mike Foster: that's 4 axis...!). So I am going to have to give up my spot. Have fun, ya'll -- will try to run 3 & 4 in the Fall maybe. Cheers, Paul
  2. Great artwork...! Kudo's...! --PD
  3. YES...! It can get windy in the lovely Mojave... Sometimes REALLY windy -- like Lutz said -- usually at night. But often times it can be gloriously calm...! Overall, I like your idea of hunkering down in the back of your truck. --Paul
  4. Awesome. Just bring those programming tools for LR3's and all the other logistical bits that Prez mentioned in the original post at the top of this thread. Oh... and firewood...! Everyone needs to bring firewood...! --Paul
  5. OMG... I thought the hammer on the starter trick was reserved only for Series trucks!. Wonder it Sasha's starter winding is/was frozen from excess moisture in there...? --Paul
  6. Getting up for this...! Hmmm... pretty large group @Mr.BlueSky... Will have to spread us out to keep the dust down! --Paul
  7. Trip was fantastic...! So sorry to hear that Lutzi's trip this coming weekend is cancelled, I would go again if I could justify the time off, but either way I would be looking at divorce and most likely homelessness...! We will be creating a photo dump for all to see -- so stay tuned. Meantime, here are a few nuggets. --Paul
  8. Our Mojave Road run starting on Friday, 12/29 just had an unfortunate cancellation. We have an opening for ONE truck. Leaving Avi Casino at 0900 Friday, 12/29. Please post or DM if interested! -- Paul
  9. EDIT: See original post. We are full for this trip. See ya'll in the desert! --Paul
  10. Are you sure it's accessible from HWY 1 coming up South from Cambria...??? MJ re-con'd it a few weeks ago with negative results. Would love to go if its real...! --Paul
  11. December 29--Jan 1st may be removed as an official club run bc I am getting interest from those OUTSIDE NCLR membership. All good, either way. If anyone is interested, please post-up by 12/4 Tx, Paul
  12. More fame and fortune covering ROVICON V -- on pages 6 -->13 of the current issue, featuring clubbies. And well-written by Katt Min...! --Paul
  13. UPDATE: Trip is FULL. Recommend anyone else running with Lutzi the following weekend! Thanks Guys!
  14. One of my Perentie buddies ran Sourgrass over Labor Day with a bunch of Toyota guys. Photos depict a more "bouldery" version than previous years (erosion?)... Turns out he had to tow a couple of 'Yotas out of the wilderness. --Paul
  15. Gotta back out on this one. Darn. Family issue will keep me from attending. Have fun, everyone! --Paul
  16. Corral Hollow is where I stripped my lay shaft on the Borg Warner TC in my RRC... That was a long multi-vehicle tow to finish the run and a long flatbed ride down to Don's house to park it for a month. So I may have to return to have a "date with destiny" style re-run. --Paul
  17. I threw this question out to Will/Gotrovr a couple days ago... Do you guys think the newer trucks with the wider tracks (i.e. LR3's, LR4's, L322 & up) were somewhat more compromised in terms of sidewall exposure in those boulder and volcanic rock fields? Just curious... --Paul
  18. Wow...! Great write-up Miles...! Hell of a trip sounds like. Great to hear and see such camaraderie and what's the French phrase? "Esprit de Corps...!" Geez, just one of those trips where packing "everything" was mandatory! And sorry I missed DJ Mike and the music session! --Paul
  19. Mike Foster washing his truck in the creek.. that is so... me...! --Paul
  20. So bummed...! Promise me this: first night on the trail, have someone play Funk #49 and raise a glass for me...!?! --Paul
  21. "Send Lawyers, Guns and Money..." Gotta drop out of the trip. Too much "life" in the way... This is a Family First decision, not work, thank God. I will skulk (and sulk) from here on out. --Paul
  22. So I am gonna get my Baofeng hand-held over to SLOHybrid... But the wall-charger is toast. Anyone have and can bring a standard charger for these guys? --Paul
