  1. We can reach out to a couple of members in the SoCal Club, they might have answers...
  2. Such a rad trip!! The canyon out there looks amazing!!
  3. Some found ones they like and then others did not...all in all a fun outing, definitely missed having snow.
  4. Awesome! I fully admit I'll be driving the "tow pig", aka "TowRVRS" as the newly ordered license plate reads.
  5. Okay!! Some edits and finalized plan in the Original post. Please let me know who's coming so we can keep an ear out for you!! This isn't a "trail run" per se, so you can join us at any of the rendezvous points.
  6. There's camping up there, the foresthill divide area is where we are going. My daughter has two games, timing works out that we play early both days so we don't have issues attending but camping would be a conflict. At the going rate, there ins't likely to be snow. Went over the pass this weekend and barely a dusting at the summit.
  7. Details, Gustav showed interest when I bought this a year ago... Plan was to use for Rovicon 3, which we did then find a new owner to fund the Series 2 build. So plan is in flight and more parts for the series truck will come now, key one being a transfer case of some sort and then axle shafts, lockers and misc. items to get the engine to fire up.
  8. Well we moved on the 95 LWB to a new owner today...
  9. So permits go on sale November 9th...just keep in mind as they went super fast last year!! I'm hoping to go up near China Wall as it gets snow and is paved so it would be open for snow wheeling.
  10. We normally get together the second Thursday of the month but we dropped the ball...so because of that we're getting together tonight in Roseville at the Yard House. Plan to meetup from 630/7pm to around 10pm. This a great way for those who are interested in joining the club come on out and meet everyone.
  11. Okay, we're planning to head up this Saturday, December 4th, and cut down xmas trees ideally we would have had some snow but no chance this year. We are heading to China wall and here's a Google link for reference. https://goo.gl/maps/VuBWMpiUSKHy6Tiy5 You will need a tree permit for Tahoe national forest and they are $10, not sure if available still...but occasionally folks have extra. Have a read through here. https://www.fs.usda.gov/detailfull/tahoe/home/?cid=fseprd677370&width=full For the details: Meeting from 10:30 - 11am in Rocklin at the Starbucks https://goo.gl/maps/KmA4xBnYP3n4x1uF8 We'll leave at around 11am and plan to arrive around noon to China Wall. From there we'll park and have lunch, explore around and cut down a tree. For those wanting to explore, the road converts to dirt shortly past the parking lot and we'll head out and check out some the area depending on time folks want to spend. For those wanting to camp, there are sites in the area and weather is fairly warm. You can also disperse camp as long as there are no posted signs stating otherwise in the US Forest Land. Let me know if you have any questions.
  12. I don't recall seeing this before...but Scully off-road is a great idea and also wrenching days at ones house or maybe Don has time to host a wrench day. But you essentially buy provisions and invite folks to help you out..
  13. Just wanted to share that the annual event usually held in May was able to be rescheduled for the weekend of Sept 19. This a British car show and usually there are several Land Rovers on display. I'm hoping to make it by in the morning before heading to El Grove for Soccer Matches...but we'll see. Let me know if you are going to stop by. http://www.ubscc.org/CarShow.htm
  14. I decided to reseat my dislocated springs on the RRC, LOL, so now on to the Transmission swap...then she'll be for sale. Ideally get out on the Rubicon before the snow comes...
  15. And you survived camping!! [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hello all, We had planned to be out at the rubicon all day tomorrow and have it be an event where we would get anyone through at the beginning to the point where they were uncomfortable. Recent events make that impossible and given that we will cancel this month's MORG. Take it as an opportunity to plan something and rally others to get out and join you though if you are looking to adventure out this weekend! Cheers
  17. Not sure who you are riding with but definitely coordinate that as it's a couple hours drive from the exit to the start. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Pretty decent right now based on what I can see and the air readings...as we know it's bound to change. Did see they arrested a guy who they believe was starting these things... hadn't realized so many of them were arsonist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Running the RRC through! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
