Mini reunion with Lutz,Lithium, and Desert Crawler, Rovrman2.

Just getting back from Texas and slowly getting caught back up. Boy, I do not miss premium California gas at $5.50+ a gallon!!
Spent the night about 20 miles outside of Needles Friday night, boy was it warm at 8pm! But it cooled down pretty well for sleeping. 
Sasha is working to compile the campsites we spotted on the scouting trip and then I should have what we need to get a final itinerary out - stay tuned!

Paul, I have 18”rims on 31”AT tires just 1 spare and a repair kit, have air and 2” lift, H2O,food,radio,sliders,winch,jack.Outside of guides what else is missing?

I scouted the lake and it was fairly busy, lots of Jeeps prepping for the Sierra Trek next week. Met 2 NCLR members camping there Mike? and Jeremy?  The road to lake was decent, tho for a smoother ride I aired down to 30lbs all around. It’s an easy Offroad drive to White Rock.Weber Lake is now a private family campground so had to drive carefully  around it so not to hit any kids on their bikes. White Rock also had lots of families and kids too. I’m sure White Rock will be quieter after next week at least school will start for the young’uns.

We've tried organizing it but ran into forest fires a couple of years in a row and the Rovicon ends up being the second weekend in August as that's when we can get a reservation for Rubicon springs.
 
We'd love to get it going again, feel free to plan it out!! Lot's of newer members with Rovers that would really enjoy it I believe!!

I would be down for this! Unfortunately I will be out of state this year.
Looks like the peak is around August 11th and 12th this year but coincides with a big bright moon... :(.
The last time we had a spectacular Perseid we witnessed was when we hiked into Glen Aulin Camp in Yosemite and fell asleep laying on a blanket on the slabs counting shooting stars. No full moon and we were up to around 300+ when we lost count.

I’m leaving Reno Saturday AM vis US80, overnite in Wendover, be at Moab Sunday. Doing Glamping near trail gathering area. Return via same route following Saturday.

Who's planning to go to the rally in September?  I know a few of you are such as myself, Lutz, Robert, Mike, etc.  
 
I'm planning to go out early and run a few trails before things kick off, but haven't made any actual plan yet.  I need to be booking a hotel/etc pretty soon and thought I'd see what other people had in mind.  I don't think the event has a formal campground though I'm sure some will want to camp.  I expect Michele will want a hotel though as she will have to work some of the time while we're there.
 
I'll probably make the drive in 2 days, but perhaps one long day if I leave early.  I'm thinking I'll leave Friday but possibly a day earlier depending on what Michele's schedule looks like.  I'll be trailering out.
 
So ... anybody already have their plans in place?

After many hours, hot, sweat, and decrease in vocabulary, turns out a wire was corroded. Reconnected all wires and winch runs fine. Now to remount solenoid on top of bullbar. Searching for longer 2awg cables and a solenoid mount.
