I just found out that Aug11-15 is Cal4’s Sierra Trek is at Meadow Lake just opposite White Rock. Hope there’s room at White Rock for camping. Jethro Posted July 20, 2022 Report Share Posted July 20, 2022 Hi Rupert, We've tried organizing it but ran into forest fires a couple of years in a row and the Rovicon ends up being the second weekend in August as that's when we can get a reservation for Rubicon springs. We'd love to get it going again, feel free to plan it out!! Lot's of newer members with Rovers that would really enjoy it I believe!! Looks like the peak is around August 11th and 12th this year but coincides with a big bright moon... :(. The last time we had a spectacular Perseid we witnessed was when we hiked into Glen Aulin Camp in Yosemite and fell asleep laying on a blanket on the slabs counting shooting stars.
