    I’ve uploaded what I had.

The camping was great. We ended up all going to Signal peak next morning.

The beginning of the trail was nice. The video I uploaded shows Don getting through the first obstacle he mentioned in the podcast and then spotting me through it.

After that things started to get more interesting due to the overall muddiness (if that’s a word) of the trail. We got to a field with wet snow and seeing that we will likely have more and more traction problems, turned around. Had lunch on a sunny spot off the trail and headed back to camp.

Robert, Jason, Goose, Mike, and Andrew stayed for another night. Did they have more adventures? We won’t know unless they tell us.

My dog was completely pooped and slept all Sunday after the trip.

I enjoyed the trip, but have to come back when it’s not so wet and get to the top.

Great pics Sasha. So how did you get to the Peak the next morning? Come in from the other way? Any pointers for the trail as I will be up there in two weeks!

As I get time over the next few days I'll reach out to you all to see how you want to receive them.

We also have a good bit of swag left over, so if you want to order anything extra let me know:

    • Extra patches: $5.00
    • Extra Stickers: $2.50
    • Extra T-shirts: $20.00 (we have a few L and XL, and maybe one extra S)

I’ll take an XL shirt and another patch. My shirt shrunk on me, or the East Brother expanded me…

Google Photos Album here. The club recently upgraded to improve storage. All photos and video should now upload at original resolution.

I will start working on trip reports as photos are uploaded ; ).  Sasha and myself were likely the last ones to make it back around 8:15 PM last night.

These photos are awesome!! The last two days looked super fun too. Bummed to have missed them, but Mrs. was extremely happy I made it back.

  4. ***OFFICIAL MILES WYNN APPRECIATION POST***

Let me explain. I’ve been home for 24 hours. I needed to leave a few miles early because of family needs. Wife at home with our energetic boys for 6 days alone. Having checked in with her on Night 5, I could hear in her voice it was time. I knew what I needed to do and what it meant. I would have to tell our leader that I was hitting pavement.

Having traveled together with Group 1 since Sunday and in the Convoy the day before, I definitely felt a sense of commitment to you all and if there was a way I could have seen it through, believe me I would have.

I’m a new member. This was my second outing with the Club. I’d made Shaver in February and knew an extended overland trip is what I needed. I had actually been planning a trip through Mojave Road right around the time the pre-run happened. So it was serendipity that the Club was organizing EMHT. I jumped on registration as soon as it opened having no idea what to really expect. But after months of planning, spending, and over-analyzing, it was time to join the Convoy down in Gilroy.

Upon meeting Miles for the first time Saturday morning, he radiated passion for this lifestyle of ours and I was admittedly expecting someone much older! There. I said it. I can’t explain why but I just had a vision of some salty Rover die-hard leading me across the desert for a week. I’m grateful it was him instead.

It was evident to me that he had invested an enormous amount of time and energy of his voluntarily planning this trip, for us, so we would all enjoy an epic adventure. The planning, the attention to detail, the effort to share the knowledge from the books, the commitment to the groups. That doesn’t just happen. That takes someone willing to put in the work. Someone that wants the best experience for everyone he’s leading. From Mike and Leanne all the way to Biko the Adventure Dog, he wanted the best for us all. And I for one truly appreciate what it must have taken.

I’d like to think I made some great new Club friends out there walking around the mines and Joshua Trees of the EMHT. Thanks to Miles Wynn and all those that helped organize and guide the trip! Cheers to you my friend. We had an unforgettable time. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Had the exact same thought after getting into the office this morning, checking work emails and realizing what the week was going to look like!🤬
