Any report? Let's see those pics and vids guys!

There should be some good snow up there still, after this last storm. I can't make it but am hoping to duplicate the trip in early June with some friends so I'll definitely be interested in @SDS input/feedback on the Signal Peak trail. 🏔️🏔️🚙

Patches are here!
As I get time over the next few days I'll reach out to you all to see how you want to receive them.
We also have a good bit of swag left over, so if you want to order anything extra let me know:
- Extra patches: $5.00
- Extra Stickers: $2.50
- Extra T-shirts: $20.00 (we have a few L and XL, and maybe one extra S)
I’ll take an XL shirt and another patch. My shirt shrunk on me, or the East Brother expanded me…

Dang! I'd have to miss both a Cub Scout meeting and a little league game to catch this one. Afraid I'll miss out.

Won't make it this year, but is there a site that has more info on this? The actual Solihull webpage is pretty awful with few details on the event. Just a registration page. Are they hiding it on Facebook or something? After the gas bill for EMHT, I shudder at the thought of what it will be, in summer, roundtrip!

Google Photos Album here. The club recently upgraded to improve storage. All photos and video should now upload at original resolution.

I will start working on trip reports as photos are uploaded ; ). Sasha and myself were likely the last ones to make it back around 8:15 PM last night.
These photos are awesome!! The last two days looked super fun too. Bummed to have missed them, but Mrs. was extremely happy I made it back.

***OFFICIAL MILES WYNN APPRECIATION POST***
Let me explain. I’ve been home for 24 hours. I needed to leave a few miles early because of family needs. Wife at home with our energetic boys for 6 days alone. Having checked in with her on Night 5, I could hear in her voice it was time. I knew what I needed to do and what it meant. I would have to tell our leader that I was hitting pavement.
Having traveled together with Group 1 since Sunday and in the Convoy the day before, I definitely felt a sense of commitment to you all and if there was a way I could have seen it through, believe me I would have.
I’m a new member. This was my second outing with the Club. I’d made Shaver in February and knew an extended overland trip is what I needed. I had actually been planning a trip through Mojave Road right around the time the pre-run happened. So it was serendipity that the Club was organizing EMHT. I jumped on registration as soon as it opened having no idea what to really expect. But after months of planning, spending, and over-analyzing, it was time to join the Convoy down in Gilroy.
Upon meeting Miles for the first time Saturday morning, he radiated passion for this lifestyle of ours and I was admittedly expecting someone much older! There. I said it. I can’t explain why but I just had a vision of some salty Rover die-hard leading me across the desert for a week. I’m grateful it was him instead.
It was evident to me that he had invested an enormous amount of time and energy of his voluntarily planning this trip, for us, so we would all enjoy an epic adventure. The planning, the attention to detail, the effort to share the knowledge from the books, the commitment to the groups. That doesn’t just happen. That takes someone willing to put in the work. Someone that wants the best experience for everyone he’s leading. From Mike and Leanne all the way to Biko the Adventure Dog, he wanted the best for us all. And I for one truly appreciate what it must have taken.
I’d like to think I made some great new Club friends out there walking around the mines and Joshua Trees of the EMHT. Thanks to Miles Wynn and all those that helped organize and guide the trip! Cheers to you my friend. We had an unforgettable time. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Hey Mike. The Convoy rolled in at just before 6pm. Gas at Thalypo in AZ is apparently the cheapest. Didn’t sound like are formal dinner plans yet. I think an informal vote for Wagonwheel Breakfast at 7:30. I’m in 115 and hope to catch Paul to load the beer.
I’m at 707-256-9423! On a beer break now and heading out for gas when a bit cooler. 🥵 -

My bloody air suspension compressor decided to give up the ghost so unfortunately I have to bail.
Kit was all staged and ready to rock. Really bummed.
Good luck and safe travels through the wasteland...
You could TOTALLY still get that fixed...

We can have epic drone battles to the death as evening entertainment ; ).
(All in the name of those rad overland shots bruh)
Only if you and Eric then provide the requisite poetic voiceover for the footage on After Dark.

Trip is this weekend
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk😯 totally mixed that up. Thanks buddy for some reason thought you guys were out last weekend! Hope it’s a good one. Hopefully next year’s won’t conflict with another club event.

Really what we all want to know is how quickly we find @Motobrewer and his beer wagon!

How was the trip? Was there an album posted up?

I’m pretty sure we are making the Gilroy Convoy at 7:30 but I’ll know for sure after confirming with my navigator.

Had the exact same thought after getting into the office this morning, checking work emails and realizing what the week was going to look like!🤬

I feel like I need some group support. Is anyone else’s spouse sick of your trip planning, obsessing over gear, taking up garage space with staging? My wife told me this weekend she just needs me to go on the trip and get it over with already!! 🤪

Latest thoughts on caravan when/where, or is that a “next week” problem…lots to do 😬

8 various Discoveries makes this the first annual Discoverland. 🤣

Yeah, hope @Motobrewer doesn’t need a trailer to haul down all that beer we are buying. 😆

Great pics Sasha. So how did you get to the Peak the next morning? Come in from the other way? Any pointers for the trail as I will be up there in two weeks!
