  1. I am also booked for the 4th-9th and want to head out the 3rd, preferably morning. Convoy? Also was thinking of staying at Middlegate Station again as the waypoint. Does this work for you? From Moab I will be heading to Oregon for a week or so so won't be convoying back to the Bay.
  2. The killer patch warms the cockles of my heart, but I can't imagine where the "Modern Rovers" recommendation came from...
  3. Just spoke with Shannon and extended to the 5th-9th, and she gave me the SDS discount as well. This gonna be some fun. Really looking forward to seeing you all. Likely going to bail on Texas given the travel time and no takers for a partner in crime...
  4. I just booked a cabin at Sun Outdoors for April 5th-8th, and definitely considering heading to SCARR after that. Is anyone else up for the Texas run? Planning on taking the northern route to experience Middlegate Station again, and to get some more of that hot sauce.
  5. This sounds like a blast. Definitely want to do it need to see about scheduling and will update accordingly. The registration link on the SCARR site is throwing a 404, perhaps not open yet?
  6. Unfortunately I need to bow out of this one. Eldest is getting married in OR on the 15th and I need to head up there to sort out food and drama.... Sigh. Happy trails my friends.
  7. Not drinking much these days but hard to imagine a trail without some suds. 12 pack of Red Lager please!
  8. Texas, eh? If I ever get out of the burbs, I'm rolling with one of these...
  9. I'll bring the lego lambo, so feel free to bring any desired sides or greenery. I was thinking of doing some roast taters but we could do a big batch on the campfire with the dutch oven... The world is our oyster. This is not going to suck. At all.
  10. Oh heck yea. Spit roasted leg 'o lamb, anyone? Pork rib roast? Prime rib? Bueller? Bueller?
  11. Bribed my oncologist to agree to a hemlock hiatus and to clear me for the trip so I'm good to go. Stoked is an understatement. I have the Joolca Nomad kit that fits into the sink bucket for dishes etc., plus ~100 ft of hoses to reach those pesky guzzlers Miles was on about for Mojave. Happy to bring that, the double ensuite, both or neither as the case may be. Also just got a Nomad grill & smoker and broke her in last night and she rules. Enough space to que up a feast and can run multiple shifts. @Draftdog I'm bringing the Dometic 75 dual zone, two VASST 18L water tanks and one or two 4G gas Rotopax, and as per previous, the Guzzle H20. Happy to share/divvy up cooking, whatever works.
  12. @RobertDingli I am planning on bringing the Joolca HOTTAP Nomad and double ensuite, but maybe we both can bring one each to save space and weight? Also, I plan to bring my new GuzzleH20 since it looks like we will be near water sources. Happy to refill any and all containers to cut down on the amount of water we might otherwise bring. Finally, any interest in divvying up cooking meals and/or food consolidation? I'm happy to cover a dinner and/or breakfast or two.
  13. Excellent advice, that I think you first conferred in Moab, so used some of this downtime to finally follow it...
