I am officially out for this weekend, BUT I will be able to get beer to you. I will be coordinating with @El Chapomint for a Friday beer delivery to him in SF. I will have to live vicariously through the your photos and stories...

I’m planning on joining with my son. Thanks to Mario for scouting out an alternative campsite.

I’ll aim to meet at Gilroy Starbucks.

Serves me right. I should have known better than to buy a vehicle from some sketchy dude in Walnut Grove. First warning sign was seeing a burnt up Land Rover sitting in the driveway. Second was unusually large supply of White Claws

    *TRIP UPDATE*
We will finally be going down to Big Sur!
Unfortunately it won't be Prewitt ridge specifically but I did find a pretty good alternative spot that is easy enough for any stock truck. And don't worry @RobertDingli the sunsets are still pretty great.
Let's still meet at the original Starbucks in Gilroy (6865 Camino Arroyo, Gilroy, CA 95020) at 8:00AM. If anyone wants to meet us in Monterey we can meet at the Chevron in Carmel (3645 Rio Rd, Carmel-By-The-Sea, CA 93923) around 9:30.
Will plan stop and see Mcway Falls, an iconic Big Sur landmark as well as have lunch while we're there. It is a CA state park so don't forget to bring $10 cash. The only other thing to remember to bring is bug spray!

Looking forward to see everyone there!

Sorry if that was confusing...it can be a day trip if you want it to be but otherwise we will be camping over night. Mcway falls is just a stop on the way down to the camp spot.

Since this is a one-nighter, I will probably bring more beer than I need. If I could get a headcount by Thursday (7-July) of next week, I can be sure I bring more than enough.
If there are preferences, this is what should be available:
Bo Pils Red Lager Gold IPA Red IPA Oatmeal Stout Belgian Tripel Pre-Prohibition Lager  Cheers,
    Paul

Good to see some of the Bay Area folk today. Had 13 in our party before I had to be the first to leave. Not too bad for a Sunday. This was a just a few rovers that were able to park next to eachother today.

Great to catch up with everyone!
Got a chance to meet some cool new folks in the new 110 on the right looking to join us on future excursions!
    Thanks everyone for coming!

On another unrelated note, on our way out we spotted what seems to be a Harlequin Polo inspired golf complete with Teddy bear rims. What is not to love?

Got started on a baby jerry cradle mockup.

Some day, with enough nurturing, they may grow into full size jerrys. : ).
Sunday also was full of excitement with some posh range rover sport work.

    Finally just checking this thread!
What a fun trip, even though we busted out WAY early for something so dumb. After we left the group for pavement, we spent nearly the entire two hours to Baker then Vegas, on the phone. We called about 50 tire shops in the region, and no one had the specific tire we needed. In fact, 19" wheels suck. I did have the option to get an entirely new set of AT's in Wild Peaks, but they would have been in the 30" tire size and cost $1600. In the end, we waited in Vegas two nights until we got a tire in from LR Henderson. They were super helpful, and way more helpful than LR Las Vegas. Still, we didn't get back on to the trip until Friday early afternoon.

We ended up driving back to Lake Havasu to visit Tiina's dad again, and then Saturday morning left for Death Valley to catch up to Ted and his daughter. We ended up rendezvousing at Bad Water Basin, and then high tailed it to Warm Springs for the night before it got dark. Honestly, being able to spend one more night remote camping was a perfect way to end the trip. We explored the spring and the talc mine, and then started our long journey home. He finally arrived home last night just after 11 pm, hearts full.
Thanks again to the Group 2 gang for putting up with truck's shenanigans. Was truly embarrassing to slow the entire group down. A huge thanks to Will and Johann for changing both my tires in quick fashion, and to Johann for letting me borrow his spare till we got to an easy section of dirt.
In the end, I never lost air in the tire repair I made to the first puncture. It is still holding perfect air and is still on the truck. The new tire is in the spare position...for now, lol.
    Ordering 18" wheels and 32" KO2's ASAP!
I'll upload drone footage and photos to the drive...I hope there's lot's of GB's of storage haha.

Got home today, fantastic trip! Thanks to Miles, Theresa and Johan for the pre-run, and for all the additional work Miles did trying to keep us from falling into mine shafts and narrating the history of the route. Great group of people, already missing the campfires (and Beeko).
