We lost an hour in Lost Hills. Expect to be in Tehachapi at 12:45-1pm. I will send another update regarding arrival in Baker after lunch.

I think my main takeaway from Serge's post is that I can go hang out with some really cool people in an LR2 / Freelander.
Which brings me back to... I don't yet have a Freelander.

Also, if anyone is interested in doing large group meals - Wednesday should provide an opportunity for both breakfast and evening as it is one of our shortest days.

Man sorry to hear Jeff, was looking forward to having you along. Not to worry, we will pour one for you! Hopefully you will back up and running in time for the next one ; ). Sounds like we may make our way back down again in the fall!

Agreed with Sasha - if there are any roadside extracurriculars that arise we can work through them together!
FYI, I have just replaced the itineraries that have been uploaded with V2. We will set a later departure time from Hole-in-the-Wall to give folks the opportunity to take a morning hike, big breakfast, etc. if desired.An email has also gone out to everyone as well with the itinerary to ensure everyone is paying attention ; ).

Behold, the very long awaited itinerary fresh off the presses, attached below. Additionally it has been attached to the first post.One major change - we WILL NOT be meeting in Ludlow, WE WILL be meeting passing through BAKER, CA. Earlier itineraries called for a meetup in Ludlow but after review we decided to run the entirety of Segments 3 & 4 for full benefit of those that did not attend EMHT 1&2. Baker provides a much better launch point to accomplish this.

@LandRonB do you plan on leading? The Annual Overland Sub-Committee has been tentatively planning 2024's event for Baja for the last few months.
However, if you want to lead it, we are more than happy to cede this to you : ). Otherwise if you'd like us to co-coordinate we can certainly do so.We are 100% in either way for a Baja trip, have been meaning to get back on that side of the border for "pleasure" instead of "business" : ).

Question for the group
- Chili - I was thinking of making of a batch of my cook off chili that won at the AZLRO event this year and bringing it to feed us one night for dinner. I can make it normal, which is spicy, or tone it done for the group. If this is something that would interest you, please reply w your preference.
- Espresso - I will also be brining my Breville Barista espresso maker because I cannot live without my morning espresso. You are all welcome to partake - bring some milk if you also want to make a fancy coffee.

Just got back from SCARR and trying to patch the D2 back together. The 1-2 punch including the Moab trip busted the driveshafts and the rear diff / TrueTrac is dead. Working with Tom Woods now on the driveshaft and machining an adapter plate to mate the Rover D2 standard flange yoke configuration to a stronger 1350 / 1410.
Question - is it typically windy? planning what my sleeping plans will be. Maybe skip the RTT and do with either groud tent or just sleep inside the D2 Sasha style.
We will be up in our rooftop tent with the little one.
I find that copious amounts of libation will help one sleep through the night... or the nuclear option, Kirkland sleep aides! 🤣
