  1. Great event! Was good to meet people I hadn't before like Renorover and also catch up with friends. Will see you next at the East Brothers event on the 18th everyone!
  2. What year model was it? Can't see the post any longer. L322 offered the smaller Jaguar engine (4.2L?) in '06.
  3. Bump on the thread... https://www.thedrive.com/news/28757/it-looks-like-the-2020-land-rover-defender-just-leaked-on-instagram http://www.1070maryann.com/images/new_defender_2020.jpg
  4. It is literally my FAVORITE color of all the early Range Rovers. Tuscan Blue in person is very eye-catching. Also like the Bahama Gold color from the same period. Doug Lawyer from AZLRO *had* a repaint on a 90's RRC in Tuscan Blue (or something very very similar) but I believe it got into a bit of an accident. I don't know if he still has it. Also, Arizona isn't exactly around the corner for a quick peek...
  5. Boo... that's a bummer. I did a quick check on booking.com for those dates and while I wouldn't say the rates were bargain basement, they didn't seem too bad... all 5 nights at the cheapest was $440 (obviously not including the hotel tax, resort fee, wi-fi enablement fee, premium room with locking door fee, etc.)
  6. I am also definitely interested. I looked up Ouray, CO and the surrounding areas and it looks like a good location. I'll keep watching the thread. Thanks for posting, Rupert! I think I last went in 2015? It's about time to go again. The drive out was amazing on Hwy 50. Maybe Erin will let me borrow Captain Jack Sparrow... Hwy 50 in LR4 luxury...
  7. Wait... What about that little guy right there? http://www.1070maryann.com/images/greg_95.jpg http://www.1070maryann.com/images/supertroopers.gif
  8. Mark me interested as well. I don't think I've done this area before. I'd be down for the hiking portion as well.
  9. Can't tell if the fan is to get fumes out or keep them in... hmm It is the Paintbooth 5000 after all...
  10. Do you think the crud is chewed up rubber or is it something else?
  11. I recall one of our Baja trips this happened to someone's D2... while they didn't have the spare part, someone had a DI tensioner (or a different-year/engine D2 tensioner, can't recall) and they hobbled the parts together to make it work. I was impressed at the level of ingenuity displayed; some of that may have had to do with how dark it was getting; no one likes driving in Baja at night so everyone worked quickly. The belt didn't sit correctly on the tensioner (about 15% of it was sitting off the pulley due to the part not being designed for it), but hey, it was enough to get through the trip. Hearing that another one bit the dust, this certainly seems like a key part to keep in the spares bin for a Disco.
  12. Wow - any idea what it was rubbing against and was there some clip that was supposed to hold it in place?
  13. Bummer on the gremlins... seems about right though, since in all of the time I've owned RedRover I think there has always been at least one electrical thing 'going on' at any time. Sometimes they just appear and disappear just as fast. Spent time and $$$ to clean all of the grounding points which helped stop some of the odd 'cross-traffic' electrical things that would happen (power mirror would drive the door locks, etc.) but it's still not perfect. The tire carrier flip must be a well-known trick since you called it "The Tire Carrier Flip"...
  14. The RoadShower aluminum started cracking? Where? What caused the TJs to fail? Did I miss a story someplace?
