  1. it'll be too cold for the kiddo. If weather was warmer... would def take kid and wife in the LR2. I knew we should have gotten the LR3 when she was car shopping.
  2. I was wondering when this is happening! pencil me in for this I have between now and Dec 31 to convince wife to watch the baby for 3 days.
  3. Nice story and swap. I believe the Ford 2.0 turbo is the same one they first introduced in the 2013+ LR2's. (Wife has 87k miles on her LR2...and it's running well. *knock wood*) Subsequently, that 2.0T gets added to Disco Sport, Evoque, etc Thanks for sharing and godspeed sorting out last few issues!
  4. Hey Antonio, Interested in the awning... PM on the way.
  5. so clean! I need to wash & detailed my 90.... but been rather lazy. That and if i wash my truck and don't wash & detail my wife's truck.... then I'm the bad guy.
  6. @RobertDingli has done a bit of mods & custom armors to his L322 (pre-10). He's prob good person to chat on 1st hand experience on taking a L322 on bumpier side of the dirt.
  7. There are a few shops... I believe consensus here is that Cerrones' can be a bit more expensive compared to few others. Exclusive British European is good, and I believe prices is maybe a little more reasonable. It depends on what you have and what you mean by restoration.
  8. It'll be this Sunday, Jan 19th. And that's a very interesting name for a restaurant... The Bill Off Are. I wonder what it means.
  9. @Robert - if you're looking for another D2: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2444021135815827

  11. Would love to join this... it’s been a couple years. Need to check and circle back.
  12. hey Nick, I may be interested in the toilet tent... is it one of those fold-up and pop-up tent? I won't be a the annual, but i can pay you (paypal/venmo) and Miles or Johan could RURR to me?
  13. We do attempt a monthly brunch on weekends. There is also the monthly Offroad gathering. Check the club calendar and keep eye out for event posts. Which, I think we may be due for one of those. Anyways, welcome to the club. As MrBlueSky said... there is a good number of us in South Bay. I’m near downtown. quote name="Enderwiggin187" post="190882" timestamp="1568435620"]Hey Thank you! I just picked up the disco and have been getting all the bits and bobs sorted out. Do the bay area members ever do a cars and coffee like event? As for the annual, you can count me in. I spend a lot fo time near Alpine, Union, and Utica reservoirs.
  14. I like the new Defender. I will keep the old one, but I totally dig the new one also - all the creature comfort. I can drive it - it'll spend more time racking up miles, instead of waiting for parts to come in. It's not cheap though... since option check boxes are so easy to tick.
  15. I don't remember anyone used their jerry cans on the route we took. There were LR3's and 4's. Of course, your route may be different and it may not hurt to bring it if you have it.
  16. John, we did a joint trip with the AZ land rover club for New Year on the Mojave about 3 yrs back. It was a solid trip - you shouldn't have issues with the LR4... someone on our trip also took their LR4. The variable is the water crossing near the end of Mojave Rd, where depth depends on rain, etc. When we went late Dec, it was about 3' IIRC. It does get cold at night, so have some warm clothing and sleeping bag. I can't remember if anyone posted trip gpx file... The trip was lead by AZ club, but maybe ping @DHappel or @RedRover who recorded the trek... That was before I knew Gaia existed.... Here is thread. Last couple pages has pix of the trip. http://norcalrovers.org/forum/index.php?/topic/4647-new-years-on-the-mojave/ It's a fun trip! Have a good time!
