  1. We had a great weekend at Lost Lakes. No smoke! Will definitely go back. We took road in and Tamarack was too low. Went past Blue Lakes and then to Lost Lakes. Came out straight north to 89. Cool trail with some rocks and steps but most any rover should be able to make it. George Whitehead joined us Saturday afternoon. Liam caught a beautiful trout from the paddleboard!

  2. The saga continues...quick background...I imported my Santana/Defender 110 over 4 years ago. Replaced the 2.5NA with 300tdi drive train from one of Scullys older trucks from Brazil. After a few years and countless hours of fabrication, we had her running. Kept leaf springs in rear over Salisbury axle, 14 inch coilovers in front, Ministry of Defender heater/AC unit, Scheel-man front seats, Exmoor premium rear seats, SD full roll cage...tranny was making a noise so bought a new one. Driving her home and engine died!

    Some original pics...

  3. WRL is a great spot! Great spot to paddleboard and kayak. There are plenty of trails to explore in the area for more wheeling. Hike up to Mt Lola for some great views and it's right on the Pacific Coast trail.

Unfortunately fires and charcoal are banned everywhere so bring propane fire pits.

I'm hoping I can make it but kids sports are killing weekends!

  4. I use Dino oil. 15w 40 Delco from Costco. It's an old design without the tight tolerances in new engines requiring synthetic. Main thing is to change regularly. I used synthetic for a few years and then switched. I also run standard green coolant and no DexCool. 4.0/4.6 is 1960s technology pushrod engine.

  6. Jaimy (white D1) and I (p38) are heading to Bowman Lake and will be trying to find a campsite at Sawmill lake, the next lake up the trail. Sounds like the trail is finally clear going through Washington city. My buddy tried White Rock Lake last weekend and ran into too much snow. Bowman Lake road is still washed out from 3 years ago and the river is too high to cross right now. Dont follow Google maps! I will have my 3 kids ages 9 to 12 with me. Bringing paddleboards and hoping to hike around. Come on up if u have a free weekend. I will have handheld HAM 146.460. Should be beautiful up there!
