Will did Shrek die tell us about this MB conversion.. I have a set of those wheels too but they look like 8" nice rig man
-
I too agree on the pre 2010 cars as that 5.0 is another Rover ticking time bomb! the 4.4 & 4.2 Jag/Ford motors are much better as long as you maintain them (as with all cars) I looked high and low for a supercharged L322 and ended up buying a 1 owner Black on black (not my favourite colour) 69K miles car for a really good price from a Porsche customer of ours. Re: Hagerty ins.. you decide what your vehicle is worth and your policy amount reflects that... pretty cool! thay will not insure "off road" vehicles so my RRC 25th is with another company. But they insure my highly modified 83 GTI I would say your car is easily worth 20K but I would insure it for 22k if you keep the miles down
-
Are you trying to figure out total loss value for your ins company? did they ask for a value? I have agreed value ins with Hagerty on my cars. Or are you trying to figure out the cars value for re-sale? I too have a low mileage L322 and my last one was written off with no agreed value and I was still compensated fairly.

Evoque Ecoboost engine swap
SLOHybrid replied to William Stephenson's topic in General Discussion Forum
I know these cars are failing constantly but my buddy just sold one of these to a tech for $2500 it too had a engine failure.. I considered taking it but a used engine is average $4k.. how much is an ecoboost?? won't you need to referee it? -
Need new tires and wheels (mine got stolen)
SLOHybrid replied to ALWVSN's topic in General Discussion Forum
ALSO note if you are going to run the Toyo MT 285/75/16 it is the heaviest tire out there as heavy as a 35" bfg mt but in my opinion are the best! -
c'est pas possible the Vanos guides would have failed halfway through that 300k and the water pump and the alternator and the radiator and the oil leaks would be horrendous by then.

worked on my 87 RRC yesterday... re-timed it to 7 deg Advance as those 3.5's need all the help they can get Then worked/looked @ the worn out 30 year old tie rods & steering box pinion shaft was wobbling too. love those early RRC's the quality is really nice & especially when it is a CA none beach car.
-
ha ha! so much easier with the rad support removed and installed as a unit. valve covers
-
Installed this a freshly rebuilt 4.6 & low mile Trans & rebuilt early LT230 into my beater 94 LWB Offroader.

Installed this a freshly rebuilt 4.6 & low mile Trans & rebuilt early LT230 into my beater 94 LWB Offroader. prize for anyone notices anything wrong with the engine
-
Nice! so they shipped them too? All you need now is a rear U-joint style driveshaft
-
Just did a heater core on my 95 RRC (same as D1 & D2) considered using the Audi core but ended up doing it the total PITA way and removed the entire dash! those fixed pipes are effing stupid! had to grind of the rear bracket to heater box as it was screwed on from the back... refused to break the seal for the A/c so left it alone. I am convinced Rover purposefully does this to create more leaks WTF with the seals too @ the core. anyway all done now and I have heat after not having it for 6 years.

Save that rear bumper for me even after cutting it off.

Nick... stay with LWB it is way better than a Defender
