  2. My pandemic project, a Marine Blue LWB Vintage Build is heading to Monterey to be auctioned during Monterey Auto Week. Thx to all the members who helped me find odd ball, old and vintage parts over the last 18 months and to Nick at EBE for working out the weird electrical ghosts that haunted this beast. It will cross the auction block Thursday or Friday at the Russo and Steele auction. I will miss her, she's beautiful but it's of to the next project. This time, a truck that is built for the trail! Thx, Tsean I'd upload a pic but I don't think I'm allowed. I'll post a link to a pic on the auction website when the inventory is posted.

  4. Hi, anyone have or know where I can get an alternator bracket for a '94 RRC. The bracket we have came off a defender and it looks pretty close but it's not 100% correct and it's chewing up the belts. I can post a diagram if needed. Thx, TL 510 585 6495
  5. I got my Lseats.com leather seats installed on the RRC. For the price or about $200 (plus install) they look great! If your doing a restore for a pebble beach concourse car, this is not going to cut it, but for a nice replacement of worn leather for day to day use these are great. I would recommend.
  6. the SEM paint went on nicely after an extensive mechanical and chemical clean plus and adhesion spay. Next results looks great. At this point I would say it's a very viable way to address a faded and discolored RRC hard dash. of course it too 6X loner to reinstall the dash given the rubber windshield seal had deformed over the last 20+ years. We have to just reuse the demister vents as we couldn't find new ones.
  7. Well, with the help of some advice from the club, we gave up on finding a replacement. They are not availble new anywhere and the used ones are pretty much as faded as the ones we have. We pulled it out, and will do a deep clean and plastic chem prep and then repaint with SEM plastic paint. We'll see how it goes. Thx. PS: any tips on the demister vents? Need 4 replacements.
  8. Hi All, We are cleaning up a 93 and 94 RRC and have gotten to the point of wanting to address the faded dash top. What is the best way of doing this, assuming I can't find a clean one to swap it out? I have see people use linseed oil, I have heard of people pulling it out and painting it. what's best know method? As far as I can tell, there are not any companies making replacement dash tops, is that true? Thanks, tsean
  9. Hi Graeme, Thx for the kind offer. However, the truck is in So Cal at my son's (he did the white one and I'm getting the Blue LWB). I ordered 4 samples from Lseats to ship to his house and he'll try to do see what comes closest to the faded Sorrell Beige. Best, Tim
  10. Hi Graeme, If you have the Lseat samples, does one match the Sorrell Beige? Here are some pics of the progress, we are doing a 93 white SWB no sunroof (it's done) and a Marine Blue 94 LWB. Both built up as daily drivers. Thx for your help. Tim
  11. Anyone know anyone who has actually used these guys? https://www.lseat.com/categories/genuine-leather/land-rover.html I ordered a few samples to get a match on the color. Just want to check before I drop $299. Thanks, T
  12. I'm working away on bringing a 94 back to life (doing a vintage build, vertical grille, steel wheels, silver old style bumpers, etc.) Interior is in reasonable shape but the radio is gone. Any thoughts on what to do about the radio? Find an original system from '94? Go with a modern, blue tooth enabled aftermarket? Thanks, T
