Welp, since I am scheduling myself to "work" the Taproom on a weekend, I might as well have some fun!

East Brother Beer Co is having a vendor day. We will have about 6 vendors (arts n crafts n such) setup, as well as 2 food trucks - Cambodian Food and a Smashburger... Obviously, there will be beer available, and I will have a special club discount on beers for the day.

Tap List - subject to change

    - The Core Beers: Bo Pils, Red Lager, Blonde Ale, Gold IPA, Red IPA, Oatmeal Stout

    - Seasonal Specialities: Belgian Tripel, Maibock

    - Taproom Only: German Pilsner, English Pale Ale, something in the beer engine (cask ale)

Time: Let's shoot for lunch, noon - 4p.

Other: The club has some new t-shirts and the two boxes have been sitting in front of my desk for a few weeks. Rumor has it that all current members will be getting a new shirt, but I will let the Board confirm that!

I'll hit up some of the regulars with Rovers to attend. I am also toying with the idea of a Parking Lot Party for us for the day if there are enough committed interest. We have a somewhat hidden area that we could park the rigs and admire with beers in hand. the downsides are: food trucks and vendors will be a walk, and I may need to limit the tap list (considering setting up the Tap Wagon or can pours in the "secret" area. Otherwise, I can reserve a few tables/area for us.

The secret area also has a forklift ramp, that we possibly could do some flexin' for the grams. Or just rollout the forklift...

Where: 1001 Canal Blvd, Richmond, CA 94804

    - if we post up in the Taproom Unit C-2

    - if we circle the wagons, Unit B

    Cheers,

    Paul

Bumping this up in the activity stream. It is happening day after tomorrow. There will be great beer and t-shirts. T-shirts are free for NCLR club members!

We changed our reservation at Sun Outdoors Campground in Moab - now 5 nights, arriving April 5th and checking out April 9th. The campground has a few tent sites and at least one cabin still available for these dates. They are running a spring special, 33% off if you stay at least 3 nights. If interested in booking, call them directly (435)259-6848 and speak to Shannon.

I just called the number, talked to Shannon, and she was kind enough to apply the discount to the reservation I made a few days ago. A full tank of gas worth of savings!

    Thank you Mike.

Texas is probably out for us, but Leigh Anne and I have booked a cabin at Sun Outdoors Campground in Moab (used to be the Canyonlands campground) for 3 nights, April 5 through 8th.  Just wanted to get something on our calendar, we’ve stayed at that campground before and it’s very convenient to town and trails.  It would be great if everyone going is able to stay in the same place or nearby.

I am confused about the dates. If we want to spend full four days (5,6,7,8) in Moab, we need to get there on the 4th and leave on the 9th. That means that any campground reservations should be for 5 nights (arriving on the 4th; leaving on the 9th). What am I missing?

Please double confirm if you still plan on attending so that we can decide if we need to push back the MORG due to weather.

Hello Folks a few important updates and need for discussion.

    1. Snowflake is going to be taken down for maintenance this weekend, so Mike will be leading this trip. (While Snowflake could make the trip, I should probably quit driving it until I have brake, taillights, and indicators restored....)

    2. There is a significant storm likely to drop a bunch of snow over Bowman this week/weekend. Forecast for nearby Soda Springs (similar elevation) is posted below.

This storm should lead to an incredible stuck fest, if you can make it up there. 😂. However, if the contingent of folks attending dwindles we will reschedule for later in the month.

Please double confirm if you still plan on attending so that we can decide if we need to push back the MORG due to weather.

I am still not 100% for this weekend. CV is still out and I need to figure out what I’m going to do with the winch. If I do sort these things out, I'm willing to try out the snow storm...

I can do next weekend, but not the 23/24.

    Let’s see what others say.

I’ve taken a little break from the restomod while I travel for work. I’ve been lucky enough to work on a project in my home town of Melbourne, Australia.

While here, I visited Les Richmond Automotive (@lesrichmondautomotive on IG).  The business owner, Andrew, showed me around a few of their current projects. They specialise in LS conversions to Land Rovers, from old classics, Defenders and Disco 1 and 2s. They also do interior and exterior work in house.   The quality of their work is inspiring.
