  1. Tire carnage for sure. On Tuesday, rolling down one of the passes near the bottom I start hearing fighter planes buzzing around. In a total brain-fart moment, I took my eyes off the road and started looking for the F-18-35-29-16-whatevers flying around and crashed into a rock I can only assume was the size of a basketball. Complete sidewall blowout on the LF. Continued on after a loan of a spare tire as mine is under the trunk and its contents. Swapped spares in the springs that night. Then on Wednesday, on the way up to Briggs, I managed to slice the LF outer sidwall on a rock - killing a spare tire that only had the 1 days mileage on it. Don assisted with plugging the sidewall with multiple plugs, but I was sure my trip was finished. Will stepped up and saved the trip for me. On Thursday he drove me and my demolished tires all the way into Tehachapi; where I had sourced 2 new tires to continue on. We made it back to camp and had the tires on just in time for dinner. On the drive home, there were high winds pretty much the whole way. The LR3 decided to undress its A pillars, driver's side in Barstow and passenger's side in Livermore. It’s looking a bit haggard this morning. Overall - one of the best trips I've ever been on. Fantastic scenery, great company. What a week.
  2. I plan to meet in Lodi as well. Vegas event plans changed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. More prep for Death Valley trip next weekend. Built this platform based off dimensions found online, and installed a drawer fridge. Hoping it helps keep everything more organized as opposed to the giant pile-O-stuff I seem end up with. Putting the cart before the horse a bit, as the dual battery kit hasn’t arrived yet.. 4. I'm in - by happenstance, I'm in Las Vegas next week for another event anyway. Depending on what time that wraps, I may end up waking up early and driving to meet the group in the AM.
  5. New-to-me (thanks again Rob!) TR sliders for the LR3 went on. Interestingly, seems like the compressor cover will still fit - contrary to instructions. Tempted to drop it and find out, but these suckers are heavy. Maybe another day when I feel ambitious. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I'm trying hard to make this one work - pencil me for now please. The day job has no issue, just need to make sure I can get someone to cover me at the track on Weds.
  7. Planning on day trip, but packing for overnight just in case! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I'm registered as well - haven't decided on accommodations yet either which seems to be the trend! Leaning towards motel of some sort.
  9. Mine came out to $45 total for 1 night on priceline Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
  10. New-to-me 18s and some new Coopers! One piece at a time... Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
  11. Lutz, if possible - can you add me to 8am? Thanks! Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
  12. I was wondering about the difficulty on this one, but the last couple comments sold me. I'm in for the 8am in the LR3, assuming my PTO gets approved by next week. But I do have a question regarding #2's. Dig a hole, I would imagine? EDIT: PTO Confirmed! See y'all next month at 8am. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
  13. Rolling with this troublemaker in the morning. Excited to meet some of y'all! Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
  14. Going to try and make this one for my first event! Apparently no trees, so hanging out it is then. Snow running is probably out of the question with all seasons. Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk
