Plans changed, now we could only make this trip if it starts mid May. Leigh Anne and I are planning on heading down into Death Vally mid March if anyone would like to join.

April other than the weekend of the 15th/16th works for me. Early May is fine.

Great pictures - looks like it was an epic (cold) trip! Thought it might be cancelled because of the snow, but you guys and Julia are beasts! Sort of glad Leigh Anne and I were in AZ, it would have been a winch fest if I’d tried to get through with my truck in those conditions.

They just opened a few sites in the Group camping loop where the event organisers will be staying. Leigh Anne and I signed up for one of those spots. That’s the area where the group campfire will be each night.

Leigh Anne and I just signed up. Saw Chuck Mobraten and his wife Linda at the National Rally in CO. They will be going and talked up the event - should be a great time!

This was my best run through the Rubicon yet! Only saw a few other trucks, slower group stopped and let us right through. Beautiful weather and a very fast run with just me and Lutz. He will probably have some amazing videos from his drone! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Looks like only 10 spots left open as of this morning. It would be great if our NorCal group could coordinate where we’re staying at the event. Leigh Anne and I just booked a cabin at the Ouray Koa. They have cabins, tent and RV sites but availability is almost gone. We are also considering other options in Ridgeway which is just 10 miles north of the town of Ouray.

I’m in! Close to Reno so I will bring the 90 and will camp. Either trail would be fun, but would prefer the first bit of Fordyce Creek. Can help lead that if needed, made it all the way through once! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Got home today, fantastic trip! Thanks to Miles, Theresa and Johan for the pre-run, and for all the additional work Miles did trying to keep us from falling into mine shafts and narrating the history of the route. Arrived Needles KOA, 4:45. Will be heading across the river to fuel up, supposedly a couple of dollars less per gallon in AZ. Anyone else make it to Needles yet? We may grab a bite and a margarita at what was Valdez, AZ side I think, 10197 Harbor Ave Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
