  1. I’ll be bringing a large selection of hand tools including a Mikita impact wrench, plenty of recovery gear, and spares to fit my Defender (and classic range rovers). Including panhard rod bushings, ball joints, steering drop arm joint, brake line tools and parts, tire plug kit, multimeter, fuses and relays, top up fluids and probably more stuff that I can’t remember.
  2. What day (probably) is the lamb barbecue? We’ll plan on grilled asparagus as a group side, not sure whether to bring from home or pick up at a market enroute.
  3. Itinerary looks great, thanks for putting this together! Leigh Anne and I will be leaving Reno Sun morning. Per Google maps if we leave Reno at 8:00 AM we should catch up or possibly be ahead of the group by the Vernon Chevron station. Should actually connect somewhere between Burns and Mt Vernon. Found a flag, looking for the whip/pole part. if you have a link on amazon or somewhere please post - want to make sure I have time to make a little bracket to mount on my truck. And what's the height requirement? 8 feet above ground, or less if mounted on my roof rack (already 7 feet up) Thanks!
  4. Glad you’re coming! We can talk about the possible Moab trip for later this year!
  5. Getting the White truck ready for the trip. Had the fuel injectors rebuilt, found some narrow 35” all terrain tires, should have another cubby box for stove and coffee-making storage!
  6. Leigh Anne and I plan on getting to the Stumpy Meadows campground at around 2:00 on Friday.
  7. Fun MORG despite getting blocked by snow and trees. Thanks Mario for setting it up! Enjoyed meeting Coleen and Josh, you posted great pictures! Hope to see you on more trips.
  8. Leigh Anne and I are definitely camping over Sat night, think Miles and Mario are as well. Wasn’t planning on driving down Friday night, but could get there early Sat. Where were you thinking of camping Friday, and when might you get there?
  9. Ok, Leigh Anne and I are definitely in. See everyone in Grass Valley Sat AM.
  10. Leigh Anne and I are thinking of going to Poker Flats. Anyone else going for sure?
  11. Leigh Anne and I have spot 8. Looking forward to the trip!
  12. Fun trip, Sascha was a great trail leader. Got about 5 1/2 miles up before stopping to camp. Only other vehicle we saw was the guy on a snowmobile that lived farther up the trail. We used every winch, strap, pulley and bungie in our collection. And a lot of shoveling. Turns out that when the front axle of a 110 plugs in deep snow no combination of winch pulls or tugs will move the truck until you dig out a ramp under the front of the axle. One final pull involved Roberto in his 90 pulling Sascha in his Disco 2 snatching me in the 110 (after much digging).
  13. Since I’m coming from the opposite direction it will be easiest to meet everyone in Washington. Will take me about 1:45 to get there from my house, so I’ll get started at about 9:15. I’ll call/text Sasha or Robert when underway. I will be bringing firewood, tow straps and a shovel!
  14. Just saw this, I’m in if it’s a go, way closer to Reno than Shaver Lake. Will camp over Sat night. Hopefully my new Ashcroft HD front axles and CV joints survive, and I finally got the 30% lower low range in so I’ll see how that works as well.
  15. Looking at weather here was probably a wise move to reschedule/cancel Bowman Lake. This trip is a little too far from Reno though (about 9 hrs in my truck) so we won’t make this. Hope everyone has a great time!
  16. I’ll be there. Tons of snow, will have to see how far we make it up the trail!
  17. I’ll be up Friday with my 110. Leigh Anne is sitting out the cold.
  18. Planning on heading up Friday, would probably get there in the afternoon sometime.
  19. Wow the sites went fast! Didn’t check the calendar soon enough. Would like to split a site with someone. Will just have my 110 that I’ll sleep in.
