You are lucky ; ).
ABS was introduced in 1990 (except Hunter Models). Land Rover ......
I had a 1995 LWB and a 2001 D2 in my tenure.
I have a complaint now about the forums that needs addressing... or maybe just some clarification....
WHICH font do I use to convey sarcasm?

@CRYAI get invited to "come and pay to play" every time I see Mike Green/West Coast British. Enrique and Carlos know him well. I have heard much about it, but never met a participant.

Well @erinw.rrc, think of it as a fresh start...how many of THOSE do we get?

I don't expect the shop to be built this year, and likely not in the next two... but there are plans with containers involved ; ).
For now, they will be used for storage. The barn and garage are so stuffed with raw building materials for the house I don't have anywhere to actually do the work. (or the rover work ... )
This container will help to start alleviating that issue and I can put all the renovation materials in there until they can be processed.
Are you doing the tent over container thing ...give yourself a covered workspace @Mr.BlueSky

While not explicitly done with the rover... it was certainly done for them ; ).
Picked up what I expect will be the first of several, 20ft shipping containers. Eleven did an excellent job extracting the 32ft trailer out of the mud, until the mud swallowed the trailer. Eleven barely escaped the back lot...
Johann came to the rescue with the LR3 and we winched the trailer out to dry ground to hook it up to the Silverado.
15 hours later the 20ft container was finally extracted down the narrow mountain roads of Lompico and awaiting final placement on the hill.
(If anyone wants to play you are more than welcome! We plan on having the ground cleared and setting it down by Sunday)
What are you building? Garage space, storage....very interesting.

@DHappel talk to me about: "But with Chevy 63s in the rear and 54s in the front."
I may need new leaves...would you share thoughts on this subject?

This may be Scully. He brought a D2 into the stable and has been building it up.
Saw this cleanly built D2 in Roseville today...don't recognize the owner but nice build.

Holy crud....that happened?
Rethinking where I park my Rover.

Just saying hello - My 1995 RRC after giving it a wash!
Beautiful 95!!!
-
Though I have a not-so-secret plan to build a Series truck in the future, I think there's a legit claim that the RRC is the best looking Rover. Full Stop.
I love the look of my RRC, but I do admit to enjoying the lines of the D2. However, my S2 is the best. I like it more than any other Rover, with maybe a 107SW coming in...although not higher than my RRC
-
I suppose there will be much bartering to be had yes... especially since the rear quarter panel ended up being NOT the lower fuel port one
Which is sad. Because the color match is spot on
So was this a rig you bought or a location with a parts vehicle? I remember fondly my early days with my RRC when I could still go find stuff at pick n pull. No longer.....
-
Boo... I will be headed the other direction...
but alas not all is lost. For I am following the rainbow to hoard of RRC parts.
And after you return, will you share that pot of gold with those similarly afflicted....err blessed?
-
You want to talk to Carlos (Mexxis)....he did it on the Oregon Trip years ago. Not sure who else was on that trip, maybe Ron....but I remember seeing the Black RRC in the swamp pictures.

Thank you all. I passed along the info, with your screen monikers, and let my friend know that this was the support from the NCLR.
He was very appreciative

I got some more details as this will be "a daily driver" use.
So, I think the question I am intended to help with centers more around maintaining and road driving issues.
I have been looking for recall, known engine issues, transmission replacements etc. Things the mechanic might do.
Once they get it, then the other questions will start.ðŸ˜

07-11 RRS.
Dont have time at the moment, but a friend is looking for one and asked for some help. I will go search the net for info, but if anyone has some links/tips/things to look for thanks in advance.
Would like to get my friend the resources to make his Landy purchase a success.
TIA

Sorry to hear about this. What happens next? Was this a new Cummins? Is Cummins going to be helpful?
