Hi Robert, this is Leigh Anne. We also booked SCP Redmond Hotel which is nicer and 8 minutes away. We'll have to decide between the two.
-
We're staying at the Best Western Plus Rama Inn. It is located 4 minutes from the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center where the
event takes place.

Leigh Anne and I are planning on attending the Pacific Coast Rover Club PNW Land Rover Rally over Memorial Day weekend. Jesse Combs has been talking it up and it sounds like a fun time. Anyone else thinking of going?

Great trip, just a couple of minor breakdowns that were dealt with. The trails were amazing as ever. It was great driving with Sasha on Hell's Revenge. He took the Super Truck easily through every obstacle. Jeff grilled up some awesome beef and chicken tacos on our last night. Looking forward to our next trip!

Still looking forward to Bowman this next weekend. Weather looks reasonable, who else is up for the trip?

We changed our reservation at Sun Outdoors Campground in Moab - now 5 nights, arriving April 5th and checking out April 9th. The campground has a few tent sites and at least one cabin still available for these dates. They are running a spring special, 33% off if you stay at least 3 nights. If interested in booking, call them directly (435)259-6848 and speak to Shannon.

Great point! We just booked those dates to get something on the books. If we finalize the days everyone can make the trip we’ll add to our reservation.

The blizzard warning is on the weather.com forecast for Washington CA. I do think we should reschedule, A stuckfest on the trail is one thing, people getting stopped on Highway 20 or I80 would be something else.
-
Not looking good for the trip this weekend. Current weather forecast had a blizzard warning (not watch) from Thursday through Sunday. Expect 1-4 ft of snow above 3000 ft, 5 to 10 above 5000 ft. Washington CA is at 2600ft, Bowman lake is 5500 ft.

Added the few pictures I took. Great snow run!

Should mention that with our schedule this is the best weekend for us (March 2-3)

Will be heading out soon. Leigh Anne decided it will be too much snow for her, so I’ll have an extra seat as well. 775-501-2991

Planning on leaving Reno at 8 tomorrow. Google says that would put me at the Shaver Pub and Grub around 3:00

No, it's this other one,

Texas is probably out for us, but Leigh Anne and I have booked a cabin at Sun Outdoors Campground in Moab (used to be the Canyonlands campground) for 3 nights, April 5 through 8th. Just wanted to get something on our calendar, we’ve stayed at that campground before and it’s very convenient to town and trails. It would be great if everyone going is able to stay in the same place or nearby.

I’m coming down the hill for this!

Leigh Anne and I are planning on showing up on Saturday.

We're thinking of going, especially if the weather is nice.

A possibility! Just a lot of highway miles in the 110.

Possibly the most relaxing MORG we’ve been on. Campsite and fire was all set by the time we got there - later than expected because a truck rolled on I80 and closed it near the CA line. Weather was beautiful, trail was relaxing with just a couple of tricky spots to challenge Sascha’s D3 (or 4). Incredible scenery, and with time to explore as Chris noted we found some great camp sites for future trips. Crossing the private land was fine, the owner said there is an easement to use the road as long as we didn’t camp on the private property. But most importantly great friends to hang out with!

Gauging Interest Baja Mexico April 2025

I’m up for a trip to Baja. Have been wanting to go for some time, but with a group that knows what they’re doing. Pretty flexible on dates, most any time would work at this point.
