Gauging Interest - Mojave Road

Recommended Posts

Heads up, the water crossing right before Afton Canyon was DEEP.  Definitely came up to the air intake on my LR3 but luckily wasn't sucked in past the filter.  The drain at the bottom of the filter box must have done it's job.

It had rained the previous day so that didn't help, hopefully you guys have better weather!

I am very disappointed to announce that I will not be able to make this run. I have had some issues with my Landy that I hoped I would have addressed in time but does not look like I will have everything fixed until the middle of next week. I hope everyone has an awesome time, Andrew.

Back from this run Thursday night (1-2-20)... The Afton Canyon water crossing was passable IMO but we played it safe and did a go-around at Basin Road. The Soda Lake part was muddy and you had to keep your speed up to keep FWD momentum. Balancing Rock is supper cool. There was snow on the ground all through the Joshua Tree forest on the Day 2 part. Terrible wind at Mojave Camp west of Kelso. Cold nights!

I circled back to Baker and did a solo loop up to the Silurian Mountains and DV, around to Shoshone and back on pavement there.

Have fun,

Paul

Guys, I am sorry, I am going to have to bow out.... Work is pulling me back in way too much to take the rest of the week off.

Noooo, am I ever going to get to see this d90?
