  2. You'll want to connect with Don, be great to carpool over! Wish I was making this one!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. So dawned on me I have worthless buttons since the air suspension is gone. Then I looked and said, [emoji848] I think the switches for the lockers might fit there!! Turns out they do! Just requires some minor modifications to make the opening longer, so on my way to finishing this up...then I'll get the fun of rerouting the wires into the dash. But will prevent the switches from bouncing and it's difficult to get to them behind the transfer case selector. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Can we just call them 35s?? Rock on! [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This could potentially work out, need to study the calendar to make sure I’m home in time but like to think I can make it. [emoji1696][emoji869] Appreciate you getting this going Lutz!! We need to get the threads started for the Rubicon and Fordyce. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Great to see you on here! I remember telling you that you were too close not join on some outings...didn’t expect Moab to be your first lol Wish I could make this but my time off is restricted with my final year of grad school. Next time. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Nothing too major but on a long list of projects I'm working on completing this holiday break. I rotated my tires on the LR4. Now I'm working on finding and cleaning grounds on the RRC and replacing the starter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Mike glad to see you joining us, Reno is too close not to be involved and we do so many trips near Tahoe. Looking forward to catching up on the trail sometime! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. How about a Rover towing a bigger Rover? That's my plan!! I'd also love to attend ejs, just not sure this year will work out. We have a week in Yosemite for spring break so don't think I'll be able to swing both. But looking forward to hearing the stories!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I dropped the transmission a couple weeks back with Don heckling me as I splashed atf in my face [emoji23]. Seems like you have been even busier!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. So eventual weekend! Don made a rescue trip North and we went to help #meangreen the 88 RRC Vogue that is going through a #SOJ transformation. New 5" lift from rte, hd drive shafts from Roverware and hd axles with a Detroit in the rear and true track in the back. Before that we did an alternator and battery swap on my RRC plus sorted out the wiring for the lockers. Did end up determining I have a ground issue somewhere...so next thing to sort and hopefully by Sunday's hell hole run!! I was really stoked to see that so far the project I took on is performing as planned! Rebuilding the front and rear plus a transfer case swap! Whoooh... still more to sort out like windows that don't go up and seats that don't move. [emoji848] Sigh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Been finishing up a few little things but she's ready for a test ride tonight!! Today I finished getting the console back together. Parking brake is pita! New rear locker switch came so made some adjustments to get that in. There are still things to do to be trail ready, like to put on new tie rod ends, install new diff breather and finally run air lines for lockers. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180614/a9d31ab32a1625a0ebb9aedb317fb5a4.heic https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180614/c54c79001a13a0df6a6304367c4ea146.heic https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180614/a7a5c123ec2c6ed8b20966777bbc282f.heic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. More progress, shift linkage installed. Center console is cut larger for the shifter. Couple punch items left and hopefully the TC shifts into gear well...🤞 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Might need to get your assistance with wiring the rear locker switch... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Been commiting some time to the RRC this weekend and it's back on four tires. Hubs are all assembled with missing seals plus replaced swivel seals. I need to add liquids and tighten a few bolt. Now I can finish the transfer case swap as I need to finishing connecting the linkage and then adjust the center console. Shooting for a drive father's day weekend! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180611/9df148e91e6a4cb8e2cac0e8c311c818.heic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I did some...I got the sawza out and cut parts of the front bumper off. The brush guard they connected to the bumper wasn't my style. I'll be working on it tomorrow night as well after the British car show. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. We had the new Overland Pros tent open and setup for the family. Making sure we all fit and loading sleeping bags for next weekend's first outing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Been working with Don this week to swap out the broken BW TC from the RRC with the one from the disco. Making lots of progress. I’ve also replaced the rear differential as it had a blown Detroit locker. So that creates some work to swap over my 30 spline running gear. But that stuff is done now. Just left is finishing up the install. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Started on swapping the rear axles around. Took a picture of the difference between a gbr hd 24 spline shaft and a summers Bros hd 30 spline. Noticable but slight difference. Difference is weight is significant.

  21. So was able to swap tires around, crazy how the sizes very for the same size. Here’s how the kmc beadlocks look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. That might be the best deal!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I had a big Rover day with @Don and my son. We happen to come across a RRC needing a new home. So was really fun and interesting to go up and make the purchase. Planning to use parts from the Disco to fix the classic and then sell the extra bits. My son is having a hard time with the thought of the Disco not working anymore. Meanwhile the nice guy who sold his pride and joy RRC had a difficult time letting it go. Anyway, now on to the new project... First order is the rear end...it's blown and so is the transfer case. Then I'll start tackling the other normal RRC quirks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
