  1. Going to try and make this! Update: Can't make it :(. Final week is right after this and need to spend the weekend prepping.
  2. Has anyone purchased any of the U.S. Forest Services maps? Wondering if they are accurate enough and show seasonal closures. I've downloaded onX and roughly used it in the past but want another way to find and navigate trails and roads. Also curious if y'all have other methods and tools to find trails.
  3. The rover isn't ready in time. CV boot came off and haven't had the time or environment to fix it. Its been 90F for the past week or so making any attempts end before I even get all the tools out. I only have an open parking lot to work in. Not a lot of safe shaded places to wrench. Still interested in riding along if there is an open slot.
  4. I will be unable to take the LR3, as I don't have time to install the needed protection. But if someone has a spot for me to ride along I'd like to try and go.
  5. Unless there are any last minute syllabus changes, I can at least tag along! Now I've just got to see if I can prep the car in time.
  6. I'm a huge maybe, would love to do it. I'll have to see when my finals are, and if I can get my car ready. Assuming I don't have finals, I may tag along! if someone would let me ride with them.
  7. Hm. I have the TR sliders, but not the gas tank skid. I had an idea to design one and send it to "send cut send" to have some protection. Haven't gotten around to actually cading it or even drawing on paper. https://app.sendcutsend.com/customer#/quote?action=builder
  8. I would be interested! Always wanted to do the Rubicon in the D2, but even more in an LR3. It does the beg the question, how much underbody armor do you need? I have a rear TR bumper, TR rock sliders, and ARB front bumper. Would I need more?
  9. Cassidy and I will leave Merced around 5-6pm, arriving at 7-8pm. Assuming everything goes well (knock on wood). We all know something has to happen last minute. I won't have any recovery gear as I couldn't fit all of it when I moved in.
  10. Will anyone else have a free spot? It will be me and Cassidy IF nothing last minute happens (knock on wood). We will be car camping so no tent/roof tent.
  11. 90% I can make it. MAYBE for once I could Amelia, Mark, AND Cassidy all to attend.
  12. I'm going to bring an extra flag in case anyone forgets or loses one. As for the dunes requirements, it states we need an out of state permit.. "A State of Oregon off-highway vehicle sticker is required to operate on all lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management in Oregon. Stickers may be purchased at All Terrain Vehicle dealerships or by calling 1 (800) 551-6949". Has anyone gotten a sticker yet? As well as are we going to stop by a dealership to get them?
  13. Auburn for us too. Unfortunately Cassidy had to drop out but we still have me, Mark, and Amelia. See y'all at 10:45 in Auburn. My phone # is 650-918-9823
  14. Is anyone bring a high lift jack, bottle jack, or jack stands? Curious to see what recovery gear we will have. I'm planning on bringing a tow strap, kinetic rope, bottle jack, and a very very very basic set of tools. Maxtracs! Is anyone bringing those? Watching the DL video is scaring me in the good way.
  15. I've got 10 gallons as well. might as well bring a tanker at this point
  16. How many LR3s will there be? I have a swing out tire carrier and can carry up to 2 tires. I have a 275 65 R18 K02 on the swingout, and a free spot underneath.
