The first one was fun. Sorry that I'll miss this one; we have early morning plans.

There was a great turnout for this meet up, and lots of cool Land Rovers, some with great mods. I had a great time and it was fun meeting Rudy and all those who attended - including El Chapomint!

Well it is Wednesday and about time to start planning any convoys headed up to Shaver.
Who all is leaving from the Bay Area early Saturday morning? If there is enough interest, I'll setup a rally point.
Ideally, depart time around 7:30-8AM from the South Bay is what I'd be shooting for. That should place us at Shaver Lake around noon if not a little earlier.
Depending on how the convoy shakes out we can rally in San Jose or Gilroy.I'll convoy. I'm coming from San Francisco; meeting in San Jose is my preference so I can catch a few more zzz's.

Sorry but I didn't take a radio from you. I know the equipment I have and I don't have your radio.
And I had pre-programed the NCLR channel in my radio. You have me confused with someone else. I have a HAM license so I know how to program my radio. So I know I didn't borrow a radio from you.

Hey Erick - listening to this pod cast - FYI - I didn't borrow a radio from you - I have my own. So I don't know who snagged your radio; it wasn't me.

I think I'll be able to make it - it was great fun last year! I like the dispersed camping planned for this year.

Is it only on Saturday, or is it on Sunday too?

Pricey stuff, but I suppose that’s to be expected with the new defender. I do like the fact that they have a cut out in the front bumper to allow you to access the clutch on the winch. That is always such a huge hassle when dealing LR3’s and 4’s on snow runs.
you are so right! long story short, have a new winch for my LR4 that eliminates that issue.

Thank you all for the fun times and for spending *hours* turning me around and getting me unstuck!

I did this trail in my LR4 on 19" wheels with GAP tool lift (I have sliders) on the August 2022 MORG. Sasha was in his LR3, which I think was also stock (maybe a GAP or rod lift). It was a lot of fun! We didn't do any of the technical rock crawling offshoots.
