This time it will be around Red Rock Canyon State park .We will camp near to Bickel camp ( https://www.desertusa.com/desert-people/walter-bickel.html ) Explore the area which includes Burro Schmdt tunnel https://www.visitcalifornia.com/experience/burro-schmidt-tunnel/ ,Holly Ash Mine and Last Chance Canyon .Last Chance Canyon is located in the El Paso Mountains east of Red Rock Canyon State Park. The trail is rated a 2 to 2+ so any rover should have no problem . This is a very historic mining area . Trip Details (Print this) Updated Make sure you top off at the Shell station off the 14 . Plan to pack a lunch . Sunday - Head home . I may stay another day if anyone want to explore more of the mines and early man sites camp at Trona Pinnacles. Radio Ham 146.460 NCLRFees no Vehicle Requirements: Stock Land Rovers welcomed, but best with high clearance 4x4 vehicles. Air down to the recommend psi for your tires/vehicles . Also make sure your vehicle is in good working condition.Required Safety Equipment: fire extinguisherRequired Recovery Equipment: Strong recovery points (front and rear) spare tireMisc Equipment: shovel, first aid kit, repair tools (to suit your vehicle), tire gauge and tire pump.Weather Forecast and Trail Conditions: mostly sunny; windy highs in the 60s lows in the min 30s at night. pilotgabe Posted January 21, 2022 Report Share Posted January 21, 2022 Whelp, just found out 5 minutes ago that I have a confirmed hard failure of a component on the plane I manage and won’t get a new part until Saturday. The plane has a trip on Sunday so I have to get it done on Saturday. Pretty bummed. I’ll catch the next trip hopefully. Have fun!
