This month we're again heading north to the Roseville area. Matt (DiscoBear) has offered his newly remodeled kitchen and his wife's cooking skills (we assume she's aware of this offer...) for our October meeting. Plan is to start around 7:00 (or whenever) and run until 10:00 (or whenever) for lots of story telling, general Rover staring, beer and food, etc. Nothing formal, just a group of Rover folks getting together to chew the fat. There could also be a surprise visit by Overland Pros, but I'm not making any promises as I understand they may have some 'new business' to tend to. But good to see that progress coming along!Yeah, this isn't even Sacramento, it's Roseville, so a pretty long haul even for me. Granted, I'll probably be coming from the bay anyway. The contractor isn't here himself today, just the work crew. My guess is they'll be done by the end of the month. I'll still have a lot to do once the building is up, but at least it will be functional as a starting point. Plan is hard plumbing air, building cabinets for the working area, custom stainless bench top, install a 9000 lb lift, add a covered carport and security fencing around the 30' pad off the back of the shop for secure/covered parking, plant a bunch of screening trees to make nice with the neighbors, etc. Plenty to keep me busy!
