  2. Im planning on making it. Can’t pass on the opportunity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Converted my rear watts link to a panhard yesterday. The watts link was binding with the new lift. I decided to switch to a panhard rather then getting a new modified watts, which is available through Lucky 8 and RTE and probably others. This option was cheaper (about $100 less), should allow more droop than the modified droop, don’t have to deal replacing the watts bushings. The draw back is it’s more work and the axle shifts a little when the suspension extends. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Front and rear are done. Just need to strip the rear lug nuts of those stupid caps and fix the panhard / watts link issues in the front and rear and then get aligned. After that, just need to fix all the weird sounds I’m bound to get. Should be good to go for shaver! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I didn’t do it, but I had a guy draw up the Rover. This is from a photo taken going up the staircase at Slick Rock with Greg and Jaime last fall. I also asked the guy via email if he would like to donate a drawing to the WNLRR raffle. I figure it would probably be worth the advertising. I just emailed him, so I haven’t heard back yet. What do you guys think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Not on my Rover, but on a 5.3 last engine that I’d like to put in my Rover one day (lucky 8 has a kit for these engines that can use the stock electronics on a disco 2). They are also popular motors in all kinds of builds. I can personally say they are excellent motors from my experience. This one here has 250k miles on it. No major service at all, still actually running original injectors, plugs, and wires. Although I’ve been meaning to do those for a long time now, but you know how that goes sometimes. Good power, good fuel economy, and reliable as anything. Water pump developed a leak and squeal. The pulley has a bad wobble. I suspect the bearing wore out and the caused the seal to fail. Not too bad for 250k tho. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I’m a Land Rover owner, I practically bring my own donor vehicle everytime I leave the house. Standard stuff right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. They are also transferable once. That means you can transfer it to a different vehicle one time or you can transfer the same vehicle to a different owner. It’s a pretty great deal actually. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I have a lifetime alignment deal that I got from wheel works. I know our president (Erin) has the same deal from wheel works. It really pays for itself (around $200) easily if you’re going off road or you modify your vehicle often. Not sure if you have a similar deal, but if you don’t, consider it. Makes it easy to just get it realigned whenever you suspect it might need it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. And I finally paid the price for that Frank Raines mud pit fun [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Was heading to the Shaver Lake area this morning. Passed Andrew on 101 near Gilroy on his way to Hollister. About 5 miles past Casa De Fruta my tensioner pulley went bye bye. I noticed because my battery warning light came on (alternator wasn’t spinning) and was quickly followed by my temp maxing out. I pulled over to tiny shoulder and immediately noticed steam coming from under the hood. After popping the hood, it was clear what the issue was. Luckily I had another pulley assembly on me and was able to replace it. It was a relatively quick and easy fix, about 20 minutes, and there doesn’t seem to be any collateral damage. Almost ruined the weekend. I’m definitely going to replace the spare with another spare. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Did you get aligned? Wear looks uneven Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Told you man, you need to upgrade your stereo with those mud grapplers! Probably second only to boggers, but the loudest tires I have ever owned Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Got off work a little early today and finished up the gussets on the tow points. Should be able to handle anything I can throw at it now, or at least I hope so. I guess my priorities go 1-football, 2-rover, 3-work? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I agree. I didn't see any better option with my set up though. I may be able to fab a gusset with some 1/4" I have laying around, but I'm not sure if it's needed. I'll probably just do it once football season is over and my sundays are open Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Added some tow points to the rear today. Got these tabs from eBay for $25. I think the placement will work out ok. I would have preferred a spot in the middle, but it wasn't really going to work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
