After many hours, hot, sweat, and decrease in vocabulary, turns out a wire was corroded. Reconnected all wires and winch runs fine. Now to remount solenoid on top of bullbar. Searching for longer 2awg cables and a solenoid mount.

Who’s  going solo?   Anyone getting a 2+ bedroom and and to share expenses? How about a group to share a house? Glamping?

[LR3 rear propshaft best brands ?]

I need a new propshaft for my LR3. What brands make a good one with good warranty and best price? Also I have 2 inch lift will that cause the center bearing to wear faster?

CORRECTION: it’s the rubber cover over the center bearing  that’s torn. I looked at landroverforums and it’s a chore to replace, easier to buy new shaft but $$$.

Addendum: Does GBR or Tom Woods mfgr propshaft for newer models of LRs?

You could call them a 2ndary bumper-spacer to prevent airbags from going off in a very minor collision eg. < 10mph. I think at speeds > 30mph the cans are pushed in far enough to set off the airbag sensors. All ARBs are required by Australian law to have them. I suppose that in US you could discard them if you don’t have airbag sensors, but then your front end would cost you big $$$$ if you have a collision.

Crush cans are mounted to frame then the bumper on mine. Aren’t you worried about your crush cans getting yanked outward on a pull?

Is there any strong front recovery point on the LR3? The front tow loop is just a tie down. The ARB has no place to weld on recovery points b/c of crush cans. The chassis frame is too low. Any suggestions? SOL?

Don’t know where the ‘14 has it’s antenna, most guys have racks and tents on their vehicles so your RTT shouldn’t interfere .

Mt Lassen trip back on! Labor Day weekend. 3 days. Aug 31,September 1-2. Saturday thru Monday. I’m open to start Friday to avoid crowds. An easy trip exploring. None difficult. Recommend AT tires. All FS roads or paved. Enjoy the scenery. Let me know ASAP and confirm.
