  1. Well my latest PET scan and numbers came back and my little trespasser has unfortunately grown and spread so they are putting me back on the gnarly chemo starting next Tuesday (have been on a maintenance regimen which was not so debilitating), that basically wipes me out for at least a week, so I am going to have to bail.

Difficult to find the words to describe how bummed I am to miss this.

    Sorry mates.

    So Freaking Sad...

    I'm out...

I have found that this EMHT week is working out to be during the intersection of work 1, family, home, and work 2 (yes, Mike Foster: that's 4 axis...!).

So I am going to have to give up my spot.

Have fun, ya'll -- will try to run 3 & 4 in the Fall maybe.

    Cheers,

    Paul

I am going for Sasha style and sleep inside the D2.  I checked out his set up in Moab and copied it for drive to and back from SCARR in Texas and it worked out fine.  I won't have to listen to the zippers gingle, gangle all night long in the wind then also.

    Question for the group

    1. Chili - I was thinking of making of a batch of my cook off chili that won at the AZLRO event this year and bringing it to feed us one night for dinner.  I can make it normal, which is spicy, or tone it done for the group.  If this is something that would interest you, please reply w your preference.
    2. Espresso - I will also be brining my Breville Barista espresso maker because I cannot live without my morning espresso.  You are all welcome to partake - bring some milk if you also want to make a fancy coffee.

I'm in for some spice as well.  Also I still owe everyone a rotisserie lamb feast that I'd like to make good on...   I will have plenty of room in my Dometic fridge/freezer if anyone needs it.

My current plan is take take the period of April 3 to April 10 as vacation. I’ll drive to Moab over two days (April 3 and 4) and stay at the campground in a cabin for 5 nights April 4 to 9. The drive home April 9 and 10.

I am also booked for the 4th-9th and want to head out the 3rd, preferably morning.  Convoy?  Also was thinking of staying at Middlegate Station again as the waypoint.  Does this work for you?

From Moab I will be heading to Oregon for a week or so so won't be convoying back to the Bay.

I am behind... but my goal in getting shipped off to Texas this week is to finish the last two days to get us home.

Currently I am waiting on a call back from a lady with a cow (I'll leave you in suspense)... before I can plan the last two days.

Texas, eh?  If I ever get out of the burbs, I'm rolling with one of these...

Behold the rotisserie of the gods!

I'm all in for the lamb!

Let us know what we should acquire!

I'll bring the lego lambo, so feel free to bring any desired sides or greenery.  I was thinking of doing some roast taters but we could do a big batch on the campfire with the dutch oven...  The world is our oyster.

This is not going to suck.  At all.

I will bring might HOTTAP and a single ensuit as well. At this stage, I am thinking of taking the L322 but I have a spare pump to bring along as part of the kit. My original pump is mounted in the D2.

Bribed my oncologist to agree to a hemlock hiatus and to clear me for the trip so I'm good to go.  Stoked is an understatement.

I have the Joolca Nomad kit that fits into the sink bucket for dishes etc., plus ~100 ft of hoses to reach those pesky guzzlers Miles was on about for Mojave.  Happy to bring that, the double ensuite, both or neither as the case may be.

Also just got a Nomad grill & smoker and broke her in last night and she rules.  Enough space to que up a feast and can run multiple shifts.

@Draftdog I'm bringing the Dometic 75 dual zone, two VASST 18L water tanks and one or two 4G gas Rotopax, and as per previous, the Guzzle H20.  Happy to share/divvy up cooking, whatever works.

  8. @RobertDingli I am planning on bringing the Joolca HOTTAP Nomad and double ensuite, but maybe we both can bring one each to save space and weight?

Also, I plan to bring my new GuzzleH20 since it looks like we will be near water sources.  Happy to refill any and all containers to cut down on the amount of water we might otherwise bring.

Finally, any interest in divvying up cooking meals and/or food consolidation?  I'm happy to cover a dinner and/or breakfast or two.

Jeff, hope to see you there! Mojave was a blast and I still reminisce - if I could take a month and go we would!

Also, if you ever want to head up into the hills and visit, let us know! I've got whiskey and beer here for you ; ).

Yea me too...  often look at the photos and videos from that trip.  Just an awesome adventure.  Overlanding vicariously via Instagram only goes so far...

Would love to come up for a bevvy but sadly I'm off the sauce until the hemlock works its magic, but will definitely take you up on it once it does.
