Elherbinator
I’m heading up to Strawberry Lake this weekend. Going to head out on Friday and come back Sunday. My departure time will be dependent on Merlyn’s dialysis appointment rescheduling, but I should be able to leave somewhere between 9 and 1 from the Bay Area. The trail is a mild rock crawling trail. It’s pretty short, takes about an hour each way. Any high clearance vehicle can make it, but it does get tight in a few spots and rocky. Lockers aren’t needed and armor isn’t necessary with a lift and a careful driver. The lake at the end of the trail offers a few primitive camping spots close to the lake. There is no running water or garbage, but there is a very primitive outhouse that was in very rough condition when I was there last summer. I spend much of my time there fishing. I have always had good luck catching trout. For such a small lake, I have pulled out some decent sized eaters. So bring some trout lutes and bait. So if anyone wants to join me, let me know. It’ll be myself, Merlyn, and 2 or 3 of my dogs. It’s also a good place to set up camp and run some of the nearby trails in the Red Mountain area during the day Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk lutz, Mr.BlueSky and RobertDingli
