The pros use wooden baseball bats. It flairs out evenly. But on low riders and sports cars. Tired you'd have to stuff the wheels in this case. Pictures buddy.

I've never tried the baseball bat, though I did once use a large socket on an extension. It sorta worked.

You did that on the cut metal/trimmed panel? ::blink::

Maybe I'm not picturing it correctly...

Same thing as the bat; when you need to flare a fender a little, you just put the larger round thing between the tire and fender and roll the car forward/back. The large round object will push the sheet metal out without damaging the paint. In theory. It's an old technique, though it's not going to gain you tons of room. I've typically seen it done on lowered cars looking for just a little more clearance for wide tires, not off-roaders looking to stuff MUCH larger tires as it just won't give that kind of clearance. I'm sure you can find a video on the 'tube.

Thanks Don; that makes a lot more sense... I wasn't sure where all of the pressure to roll the metal comes from. Much clearer now.

No I meant swing the bat like your playing baseball. Hit the fender in as much as you can. Most people spend time cutting theirs in perfection and end up with bloody hands.... Get angry and swing.... Lol. Kidding. What Don said.

In exchange for free parts for life.... Sure.

Note it looks like a true wheeler.

Well shit, that'd work for me :3

Waiting to see if Tim Cooper is willing to do the cuts and weld sliders for me.
