  1. Planning a Mojave Road run the weekend after new years. seeing if anyone is interested. It will be cold and there is no wood collecting on the Preserve. On Trail Communications Ham Radio will be primary form of communication, Gasoline We are planing on traveling around 200 miles between gas stations, so bring extra gasoline if you feel like it is necessary. We are bringing an extra five gallons just in case. Traveler's Monument It is tradition to bring a rock from home to put on the Traveler's Monument
  2. Planning to leave early Friday morning hopefully be there by 1:00 or 2:00. Plans have changed and my mom will be joining so we will be doing the chili cook-off too. It looks like I will be towing the old girl up there
  3. Looks amazing. I haven't been there for a few years but was thinking we need to do club run up there one of these days.
  4. As always Rovicon does not disappoint. Special thanks to Greg Don and Eric for the planning and of course Tyler and Tim Scully for all the repairs they did on the trail to help everyone get through.
  5. Now I'm sad . I have tours booked on Tuesday after the Rubicon. I think I'm going to run into a time issue if I try to run it backwards with you guys.
  6. In past years the registration will be at camping area just make sure you have already sign up online . So far for me is to drop off the trailer at the end of trail {Tahoma} Thursday and make it to camp Late afternoon. Is anyone else dropping off a trailer ? Also do we need extra propane for campfires? to camp Rovicon.kmz

  8. Sadly I'm still working and prepping for rovicon. Also there was a new forest order released and it says ball mountain is closed but they may have it open I'd give them a call.

  10. Just got back for a quick day trip to Carrizo still blooming and talked to the ranger and he said .Once we get some heat it will really bloom. They have added extra portapotty's and every bathroom spot they are expecting 20k visitors on the weekends.

  14. Yeah it's just a cheapy Amazon version not as nice as the helinox. But seems to do the job. Paired with a xtherm mattress and a enlightened equipment 0° quilt it's pretty comfy.

  16. Just uploaded some photos and we'll get the drone videos up. Need to figure out the new update so I can fly with no cell service. Thanks for everybody that put it on it was a great time already thinking about next year.
  17. I also may have enough room right now I just have Mike myself and Buddy Phil and his minivan so I'm sure we could squeeze in one if needed. Planning to leave here around 3:00 Will be monitoring and see our frequency 146.460 also the shaver lake repeater 146.820- 141.3
  18. Sorry to see you can't make it I'm sure someone might be interested in it. Also there are plugins at all the campsites so you could bring a little extra heater and be nice and toasty in a tent.
