Looks like an awesome trip - I'd be down, but the classic is in pieces in the garage : 0 so we are definitely out for this one.
Next time! Into MNF looks really nice and want to explore more when there is less snow at elevation.

Hey all!
Quick overnight trip South East of MNF on what should be a quite easy trip just to get out and enjoy some nature.
I've not run these trails previously so we can all learn together
Here's the plan for Thursday 3.14 into 3.15:
Meet on 3.14 at 900A at Natomas Crossings Walmart on Truxel then head to Stonyford where we'll eat lunch.
Run that West then South to Hough Springs.
Head East to find camping before Indian Valley Reservoir and set up camp.
Next AM on Friday 3.15 we head East on Bartlett Springs Road before hitting Walker Ridge Road.
Head South on Walker Ridge Road stopping along the way for lunch.
Continue out to CA-20 then East towards I-5 and home.
If you plan to join please LMK via call or text so I can wait/look for you!

Tentative! We would arrive Saturday AM due to a long-standing Friday PM commitment.
Is Coral Hollow the trail of choice for Saturday?

Lots of Fire roads, specifically #14 in the book is Slate Mountain Trail which is nearby that goes to a fire lookout.
Hard to say what the conditions with all the snow will be like, but there is a lot to explore by where we are headed...lot's of lakes.
Plus Uncle Tom's cabin is just minutes away!
Are you bringing the L405 or tagging along thru Hell Hole?

Was at Stumpy Meadows yesterday! Are there any LR3 friendly trails around that others may head out on? Jake and I chatted about coming if there was a more manageable trail.

Uploaded to the Google Link. Looks like more fun on Sunday and you made it a bit further - nice!
That Pic is hilarious @Mr.BlueSky - IDK why it looks like Johann and I are sprinting from danger 😅 LOL
Had a blast - see you in June!!

My wife and I in our LR3 will be there! Not 100% if we'll stay out Saturday night, but definitely for the day so we'll see you all 10A in Grass Valley tomorrow!

It was good to get out, but hit a water-crossing at that time we simply couldn't pass through it was so deep. Stayed at higher elevation and with previous forest fire it was a bit windy and sparse.
