  1. Finally trimmed the frame horns this past few days. Used a HF body saw which took 30 mins to cut the 1/8” thick metal. Avoided using cutting disc as I was not comfortable with the tight spot to work on.

Verdict: No rubbing all around when lifted to 50mm. 30-45mm lift tends to rub with the front plastic of fender when turning. Maybe after a good tread wear of this M/T tires over time will the rubbing go away.

Next step to check is the rear pinch seams if it needs to be flattened. Hopefully, this is the last mod to fit this tire. All worth it though.

  2. What about E load rating (10 plys), i thought E is the recommended rating for LR3/4 due to weight.  I’m also looking for 275/65/18 as another option since there better selection for M/T tires such as KM3, Geolander G003 (looks good) but might need to do modifications to clear rubbing.

Definitely not intending to rock crawl, enong to tackle moderate trails (i.e, Mojave, Anza Borrego). Also dont want major modifications. I have Gap tool and 2.5” lift rod (not yet installed and dont know if its needed).

Based on forum post, 265/65 is the way to go. Thanks.
