By the way, which Pioneer is that and how does it support the GAIA -- do you have a GPS puck or some other setup (e.g., you link it to your phone so it works so long as the phone has service)? Also, have you had a chance to do a serious shake down with that monitor. I'm interested in that setup, but I'm a bit concerned that too much off road bumpiness could do it in pretty easily.

Not required per se - but you should just splurge and buy a handheld like this for $22. That’s the primary mode of communication on club trips and is really a must have in my opinion.
