First Mod in 2019. Simple as 1-2-3.

Ok not my first mod in my life time owning 4x4s and accessories, but my first one in 2019.

One of the plastic strap connectors on my ARB Recovery bag broke, and it's been on my list to do to find a replacement hardware.

I found a shiny metal buckle option on Amazon.com, looks cool, but the cost far exceed what I am willing to pay for until I found this simple effective solution - a wire lock pin.

I used my Dremel to remove the old & broken plastic pcs and then simple slipped and locked the wire lock pin.  Unlock to open.

Hardware Brand: Everbilt

Description: Wire Lock Pin Zinc Plated

Size: 5/16in x 2-3/4in

Part # 752 300

Cost: $3ea eg Home Depot, or 3-in-a-pack for $8.99 (free shipping) via Amazon

Nice!

Those pins are great, I've used them for years to pin together the kayak/lumber/occasional sofa roof rack on our Ford Exploder Sport Trac.

With the pins the rack can be installed or removed in seconds.
