Who want to go somewhere during those dates and where should we go? I’m free and will be taking my 4 yo daughter and probably Papa Solis. Post up suggestions and if you are interested. Not sure how the snow will look up there those dates (so far more like 'what snow?') and it may not be the most exciting outing since it will be a research trip, but it's a possibility. As I have a week I was thinking of a proper expedition style trip like the Sierra Trek. I found the route I had read about years ago, the California Backcountry Discovery Trail on the West County Explorers Club website. They ran the route South to North and I’m thinking of going North to South to get the long highway day done early. I had originally plotted the run up 301 also, but thought it would have made a very quick trip. So, I did a round about way and come up on center of the forest to Philbury lake.
