DHappel Posted September 20, 2017 Report Share Posted September 20, 2017 A very nice write-up, though I would point out I rather doubt they did Soup Bowl. I suspect they didn't even realize there was a line there other than the by-pass/squeeze to the right. If they did indeed do the Soup Bowl, then they are super-heroes! Just getting through on 31s with as little damage as they did was quite a job. He did a good job of capturing the feel of the Rubicon, especially as a first timer. You hear everything from 'it's paved...you can do it in a Prius' to 'no way you'll make it!' and its hard to figure out exactly what to believe. They do a fairly good job of capturing a lot of the obstacles one encounters on the trail. They show how tire size impacts the lines you can take. Also that anyone who's determined to make it can and that you should expect body damage.
