Maybe that's a good thing; if readers didn't read-on and see it was a 1974 Land Rover, they would think it was not a capable Jeep. Joking set aside, hope the driver is ok.

And as another a thought, my Defender 110 has a roll cage; can't imagine driving it w/o one considering there isn't any other strong support over my head.

As cool as I would like to drive one of these (in the pix), I would be concern about a roll over. Then again if I owned one of these, it would be just used as a touring vehicle (keep it in good condition) and not as a trail vehicle.

That is why a roll-cage is so essential. Especially if you are doing any serious trails. Hope he is OK. I am actually surprised it wasn't worse...

There was a horrific jeep accident last month on the Rubicon for a 23 year old woman who rolled a friends jeep which then caught fire. She has 60% total body burns including her face. She has already lost a few limbs. Tragic...

We were on that trip. Definitely a terrible tragedy. I just got word that she passed -- after fighting hard to survive for 20+ days. It happened at probably the worst place possible on the trail, just past the rock squeeze at Cadillac.

Be careful out there.

Sad indeed. Worst nightmare for all of us - good day at the trail, fun, w/friends and family... and then roll-over or trail accident....

May she rest in perfect peace! Condolences to her family and friends.
