   NCLR : White Rock Lake Trip

   What: A weekend trip to the Sierra to watch rocks fall out of the sky. The participants of the first portion of this trip (Sierra Expedition, Aug. 10-14) will arrive at White Rock Lake mid-day to join the weekenders.
   Where: White Rock Lake (17 mi. N of Truckee off Hwy 89 (
   Who: Open to all current/paid 2015 members. Family-friendly trip.
   What to expect: The drive into the lake is suitable for all stock Land Rovers. There are many ways in that can take from 90 minutes to 4-5 hours depending on route chosen. Once at the lake there is tons to do: fishing, boating/kayaking, swimming, hiking, wheeling (there are trails from the lake to Nevada City off Hwy 20).
