lithium1330
Pretty interesting read... and appropriately featuring a Land Rover. https://expeditionportal.com/remote-breaking-down-strategy/

Mr.BlueSky
Cris, great post! Thanks for linking it I enjoyed reading it. A few of my takeaways: 1. I think I need a Lifesaver jerry can now...2. Point number 7 is a good one. The more maintenance folks are able to do at home the better prepared they will be in the field.3. I really enjoy the point about having a cup of tea during a breakdown. One should have a cup of tea handy for almost all situations, we do drive British vehicles after all . Secondly if you are a coffee person... I think Splrgn was trying to rig up an espresso maker in his 90 at one point. (i.e. he is a ideal travel partner if you are concerned your truck will break down).
