nengelbrecht6
Been getting the following fault code from the IID and finally deciding to do something about it: P0501-62 (E8) Vehicle Speed Sensor A range/performance - Algorithm based failure - signal compare failure This is accompanied with "Engine System Fault" and "Cruise Control not Permitted" messages. I am assuming this is pointing to a fault in one of the wheel speed sensors, but which one is "Speed Sensor A"?
Volkov
My speed sensor failure told me which wheel, but it also shut down a bunch of systems. I had no speedo, air suspension, or traction control

DHappel
That's a bit odd - I haven't seen an 'A' sensor before. Usually it tells me LF, LR, etc
nengelbrecht6
I don't lose any functionality when I get the error. Only thing I lose is the ability to use cruise control. And I get the annoying "Engine System Malfunction" warning message that continually appears. Yesterday on the way home I got the same "Engine System Malfunction" message, so I plugged in the IID. This time, no speed sensor fault. Not sure now if the warning message is being caused by something else, but I don't have any faults coming up on the IID. And I haven't lost any functionality. Just the annoying message.
