gurka
Can anyone recommend someone to work on my 200 Disco 2? Ideally someone local to Bay Area. thanks
DHappel
Not SF, but in Walnut Creek CT Motorwerks, run by our own Colin Brown, certainly knows his way around Rovers!
DHappel
Come to think of it, you shouldn't go to him after all. I want him to come up to our Gold Lakes run next month and he needs the time off!
Disco2Guy
I've gone to http://www.euroland4x4.com/ a few times. It's been many years since I've been there, but Philippe was a cool guy.
BuckinghamBill
When I was looking for a Disco II, I had these guys do a PPI and really liked them:https://www.yelp.com/biz/11th-street-auto-repair-san-francisco-2?osq=land+rover+repair But take with a grain of salt, my interaction was limited and the job was pretty straightforward. Some others on the forum might have stronger recommendations.

LandRonB
If you end up @ CT Motorwerks and req leaving your vehicle overnight, you can take the Walnut Creek BART (about 1/2 mile walking distance) from/to.
gurka
Thanks guys for the recommendations. I'll give Colin @ CT a shout tomorrow. Looking to leave the truck while I head off to Argentina for a 2-week stint with the family and need some work done and things looked over in general while I'm out of town. Want the D2 all ready and in good shape for the meteor shower weekend ride with my son and friend.
Nick
If you're looking for someone in San Francisco proper, Jack and Peter at 11th Street Auto Repair is as good as it gets.
gurka
Thanks Nick - 11th street place would be a lot more convenient for me that's for sure. I will try to drop in today to see him and book something. Anyone else vouch for them? Is he a member here also?
Nick
I don't think they are. They've done a lot of great work for me (in fact, one of my RRs is there right now).
