This month (well, this year too) has been zooming by so quickly and we're in the 3rd week of June already. I found Sports Page in Mountain View, right off 101 - next to the Google campus. Thursday is their busiest night... but that's to be expected for most places in the bay area. Good news is there is plenty of parking, esp. factoring in the movie theater right next door. girlrvr Posted June 15, 2017 Report Share Posted June 15, 2017 hey guys! so i am thinking about joining ... had a q: my D1 has been sitting for about 4 weeks (been travelling). any tips on how long to let the engine run or any other morsels of wisdom to share? i already plan to have a look underneath at whatever managed to leak ... i know this sounds incredibly naive but i've never owned a car this old :-) thanks! lithium1330 Posted June 15, 2017 Author Report Share Posted June 15, 2017 It's a habit now to look under the truck before taking it out each time...just to make sure it didn't dump coolant, oil overnight. As for start up...as long as you have oil pressure (oil light goes out), it's recommended you drive off pretty much right away (and avoid sitting idle).I usually drive at lower RPM until the water temp needle moves off the left.
