ROVRMAN2
LR Rocklin just e-mailed me and said I get a new ZF tranny under warranty. The torque converter was locking up erratically. Woohooo! What happened was for the past 6 months, when I started the D2 after work and drove maybe a mile til a stop light, the rpms would fall for a moment and return to normal. It was bugging me, no OBD codes, LR Rocklin checked it out and replaced the tranny ECU and it worked fine for a day or two. The rpm drop started again, now it was really starting to bug me. Rocklin techs and LR tech finally decided it was the tranny. It's on order.I hope the problem is solved..FYI 2004D2 32k mi. final "free" warranty service is due in Mar/Apr this yr.
