August 2014 MORG

Recommended Posts

The great part about this club is that if your forgot something..... Well someone else might have what you need. We are all here as a club to help the club.

I personally bring my home. Tools, air, my grill, water, spare tire, ham and cb radio's, camping chairs, my music, tow straps, gloves, I have a Hilift but my truck isn't ready for that yet, propane for the grill, and I'll stop by the store on the way in for food and some more water. Oh bring your game or go home:P

Thank you.

Hi Everyone,

Just a heads up, an emergency came up and I may need to travel tomorrow. So, there is a chance I now won't be able to make it down to Hollister tomorrow after all. I am pretty darn sad, as things just don't seem to be lining up for me to do anything with the club,

My apologies for the last minute change in plans. If I can make it, then I'll meet everyone either at the ranger station or somewhere inside the park.

Regards, David

Don't stress David. We are always around. Just take care of your business. I know what your going through. If you want, I'll hang out with you later when your free.

Hi everyone. I just finished posting these on my photobucket. I hope you guys get a handful. Actually with all the running around after I got stock at the first obstacle course I decided to just focus on driving but I got some videos as well. I'll post those when I finish here.

Wow - looks like you guys had a great time yesterday!

I loved the videos and my hat off to Don for attempting to go over those rocks - I don't think I would have tried it, and I have the same sliders.

It looks like Jared and Don did truck hill - is that true? It doesn't look as dusty as I thought.

Sad I missed it, but look forward to next time!

Those videos highlight the difference between real lockers you can manually control and lockers the computer controls. If I'd been able to manually lock everything it should have drug itself on over the rocks. Instead I ended up spinning tires. Weak!

Maybe with a little more practice I can figure out how to fool the computers into doing what I want.

Yes, Jarred and I both did truck hill. Don't worry, there was plenty of dust! For a while during the climb you pretty much couldn't see anything. I suspect somebody got it on video so we'll have to wait for them to post it up. In that case, the computers did better than on the rocks.

Nice segue to my videos, Don... thanks for the set up. : )

Guess I spent more of my time having fun than recording the MORG, so I just have a couple of videos to post. It was a great time, good to see Dean and Alyson again and we met a new Land Rover LR3 owner, Anudeep, who took some of the more difficult trails like a champ.

I'm still working on the video's I have. It was a great day, with much epic fun. I don't think I've ever seen anyone so cool as Pedram, after getting off the rocks and his truck was running so poorly (the air tube had come off after the MAF). But he stayed calm! I probably would have lost it...

Great pics, I should have mine up tonight.

Thanks Dean. I don't let little things like my truck hold me down. I've been there to many times to let that bother me. I guess since I was chosen as trail leader, I had to man up and take charge. No offense to the ladies.
