Lutzi I am in.

Just did a SLO 4 Wheelers trail maintenance on Garcia ridge Saturday but only got half done the whole day!

Looks like a grader has gone through and flattened a lot out so even a LR3 with street tires could do it now but still a few good places to flex your "stuff".

Yea last year was a road. Did you do the rock climb with the Rubi?

Yeah! tried going up the 1st section @ the bottom but could not make it(neither could anyone else) but made the second section up the hill with little effort... love that thing!

Oh! a completely stock Nissan Xterra made the entire Garcia ridge so any rover could make it!

Elizabeth and I are interested in making this years trip. We might have a friend coming down with us in his 42' weekend warrior and our quads. Does anybody else bring quads, rails, toys to the NCLR pismo trips?

We have had people bring ohv's and everything is welcome.

Hi Lutz,

I am a new NCLR member and I am planning on attending the Pismo Beach trip. I will be arriving around noon on Friday. Me and my friend will be camping. I have a stock LR4 (but with a rear recovery point - d ring attached to a trailer tow hitch) and thus I don't know if I am equipped for Garcia Ridge trail. I have a CB radio but do not have the rock rails, johnson rods or any skid plates. Would I need any of these for the Garcia Ridge trail? If so what would be your recommendation?

I will be bringing fire wood.

Looking forward to meeting you and the team.

Best,

Michal

Your truck would be fine doing Garcia ridge. Only thing is pinstriping from the bushes. When I prerun the trail ill do some trimming to minimize that. Added a few socal guys to the list too.

Trying to make it work for me to be able to break free. Not to break posting, but how old do you have to be for your dune experience Lutz? I have a two and a half year old nephew that is a total shows great promise for things that go fast."Race Daddy,Race? "T"'s truck (my Rover) as he climbs up into the drivers seat ready to go... . We've been out in lowrange outside of Taft and Fellows in the oilfields he he just loves it!

Change me from interested to attending.. Not sure if we will have a Weekend Warrior and quads at this point so put us down for camping.. Might be bringing a work friend that just picked up a 03 HSE that is interested in joining the club. Will find room for FireWood.

For the hummer tours we can take any age> We can make the ride as fast or slow as you want.

Lutz took my 80yr old sister on his Hummer tour last wk. She LOVE'D it. I don't think my 20 something nephew cared 1/2 as much tho.

Thanks again Lutz.

Closest ride I'll ever get without my Rover.

My attendance just became MAYBE. If I can get a new MAF sensor and Air Filter Box lid here in time I'll be coming with firewood.

Otherwise I'll be home sobbing over all I know I'm missing.

If you can spin by my place in San Carlos I can lend you both parts.

Sadly I cannot go. I've got a fried alternator and the new one won't arrive until next week.

Does anyone go to Pismo any other time or is this it? Once a year?

My son is not happy that he is missing this weekend, so we will be descending upon Lutz again later this year (after the school holidays) .... Lutz doesn't know it yet, so don' tell him!
