SLOHybrid
Lutzi I am in. Just did a SLO 4 Wheelers trail maintenance on Garcia ridge Saturday but only got half done the whole day! Looks like a grader has gone through and flattened a lot out so even a LR3 with street tires could do it now but still a few good places to flex your "stuff". SLOHybrid
Yea last year was a road. Did you do the rock climb with the Rubi? Yeah! tried going up the 1st section @ the bottom but could not make it(neither could anyone else) but made the second section up the hill with little effort... love that thing! Oh! a completely stock Nissan Xterra made the entire Garcia ridge so any rover could make it!

Michal C
Hi Lutz, I am a new NCLR member and I am planning on attending the Pismo Beach trip. I will be arriving around noon on Friday. Me and my friend will be camping. I have a stock LR4 (but with a rear recovery point - d ring attached to a trailer tow hitch) and thus I don't know if I am equipped for Garcia Ridge trail. I have a CB radio but do not have the rock rails, johnson rods or any skid plates. Would I need any of these for the Garcia Ridge trail? If so what would be your recommendation? I will be bringing fire wood. Looking forward to meeting you and the team. Best, Michal
lutz
Your truck would be fine doing Garcia ridge. Only thing is pinstriping from the bushes. When I prerun the trail ill do some trimming to minimize that. Added a few socal guys to the list too.

My son is not happy that he is missing this weekend, so we will be descending upon Lutz again later this year (after the school holidays) .... Lutz doesn't know it yet, so don' tell him!
